This is interesting as DePaul is a conference rival and Jordan is a well-respected assistant coach that Chris Holtmann is adding to his staff. Very good pull for DePaul, they're gonna be a problem sooner than later.

People probably said the same thing when we hired Cooley, but still found a way to be GU. hm

Tyler Kolek declared for the draft, foregoing his “Covid” year of eligibility. Projected apparently as a 27-30th pick.. Too bad no one is on the Board in Boston who can keep everyone apprised of the pressure on the Celtics to take him (he is, after all, from New England…)

DePaul has been Depaul on the court but off of it, they've made a lot of changes over the last few years that hopefully will pay off sooner than later for them. Gtown on the other hand has unfortunately made very few if any changes off the court which I believe still affects the program in a big way despite bringing Cooley & staff in. Look no further than the AC hiring to see how things have changed very little in how the program operates.

While I agree with you generally on social media usage and other communications stuff, I apologize to the board in advanced if I opened Pandora’s box with respect to the offseason incessant program complaint posts. hm

This is interesting as Villanova and Xavier are conference rivals and we have traditionally played Syracuse every season. This kid's coach at Mt. St. Mary's just left to become an assistant at Syracuse, which is another tie to the DMV area on the Syracuse staff.

I was really good at recruiting based on limitations. He was always looking for the players just under the top tier in the DMV, but also keep connections with the the top tier. He was good at catching the players who matured and really improved Junior and Senior year of high school and could bring them in and help them grow (most often to have them transfer as they got wider attention). He could take over looked pieces and mold them into teams that could have decent post season runs for as a low mid-major program. During DMV summer high school showcases where, Roy Williams, Mike Brey, among other top 40 college coaches Englestadt would get as many check-ins from players as the top coaches and top team recruiters. The range of players chatting was really wide. On top of it he's an insanely nice guy with time for everyone who loves the game.

This is interesting as Marquette is a conference rival and there had been speculation Jones might enter the NBA Draft.

Have heard rumblings in these parts about interest in a tall Canadian center.

This is interesting as Providence is a Big East rival with a great homecourt advantage. It's cool to see the gratitude from the team's coach.
