A very tenuous 1-0 lead at the half. Xavier controlling for the most part and with more chances at scoring. Hoyas will need to do a better job in the midfield; the D as always has been stout. but Xavier has been pressing big time.

Great goal by Winstanley, and Augur did a great job of finding the ball in the opening 45 (and having the ball find her). I loved Dave's halftime interview on the broadcast-they asked him about the goal, and he said that was the only bit of soccer that was played in the first half.

The women join the XC women team as BE champs!!!
And deja vu, four straight BE championships for both the women's soccer and women's XC teams.

4 BE championships in a row for the Hoyas! This was not an easy result; Xavier is very well-coached and pressed hard the whole match. The Hoya D solidified in the 2nd half and after the 2nd goal, it was all over but the celebrating.

Seven out of the last eight BEAST championships with the biggest in 2016 & 2018 to the Final Four College Cup....Keep it up ladies....

I flew down and then drove up to Boyds with my daughter (class of 22). Very entertaining game and a beautiful second goal that essentially put things out of reach. Very well done by a team that seems to be peaking at the right time.

Unclear to me how it's possible Augur didn't get on the All-Tournament Team. Who is voting for this thing? Do they hold a grudge against her or something?

#3 Hoyas host Old Dominion in the first round. Would face the winner of #6 St. Louis/Indiana in State College, PA in the second round. The #2 Nittany Lionesses get CCSU in the first and then the winner of Arizona State vs. #7 Santa Clara.

The #2 Nittany Lionesses get CCSU in the first and then the winner of Arizona State vs. #7 Santa Clara. So we are a #3 this year and were a #5 last year. Go figure....Anyway, very good draw.....ODU, St. Louis are winnable and then if Santa Clara can upset Pedophile State U, we have 3 home games...Somewhat reminiscent of 2018 when SCU beat #1 seed and came to Shaw where we won. Now all this speculating is worth nothing unless we win out, but a very nice bracket, taking nothing for granted.
