Potential four-star rising junior Isaiah Abraham has put together a few efficient performances over the past two days. He rebounds, scores with opportunity, and does not need a lot of touches to get it going from the perimeter offensively. All of this while playing up an age level should easily place him in the conversation for a rankings bump. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Nike-EYBL-Session-IV-Wesley-Yates-Chris-Lockett-Kayvaun-Mulready-TJohnn-Brown-Alex-Cotton--189874302/On3 updated its 2024 player rankings on Monday, ranking Isaiah Abraham 15th overall in the class, and he sure did look the part. He’s a strong forward with a college-ready body. Not to mention, a high running motor and does well guarding perimeter players. He’s also a threat in the open court as a lob-catcher. Abraham impacts the game in a variety of ways. He’s an unselfish player, with a high IQ that can make the right reads. He finished with 16 points, missing only a single shot (8-9 from the field). Lots of upside here, and definitely one to keep an eye on. Abraham currently holds offers from Kansas State, Maryland, Virginia Tech, and others. Each of those respective coaching staffs watched him today. Expect the offers to keep rolling in. A (near) full list of coaches in attendance for the matchup: Texas’ Chris Beard, Duke’s Jon Scheyer, Iowa’s Fran McCaffrey, USC’s Andy Enfield, Kansas State’s Jerome Tang, Notre Dame’s Mike Brey, Penn State’s Micah Shrewsberry, Ohio State’s Chris Holtmann, George Washington’s Chris Caputo, Boston College’s Earl Grant. Assistants from Oklahoma, Xavier, DePaul, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Indiana, Providence, Villanova, and others were all sidelined. www.on3.com/news/live-blog-eybl-session-4-live-evaluation-period/

Isaiah Abraham, Team Takeover – A strong and athletic 6-foot-6 forward, Abraham came off the bench and changed the game right away with his energy level and physicality. He also gave an offensive spark, knocking down a pair of threes and mixing in some big finishes to show his versatility as a scoring threat. Abraham is one of four rising juniors to play up on a Takeover squad that is assuredly the youngest of the four EYBL programs left standing. He holds early offers from the likes of Maryland, Virginia Tech, Wichita State, and Kansas State, but with a gym that was absolutely packed with high-major head coaches, he’s bound to get plenty more in the near future. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/college-basketball-recruiting-nike-peach-jam-friday-recap-190434989/

The Cavaliers have entered the running for one of the most talented Virginia natives in the recruiting class of 2024. Isaiah Abraham, a four-star prospect from Warrenton, Virginia, picked up an offer from UVA on Saturday night. "After a great conversation with Coach Bennett, I'm blessed and excited to say that I have received an offer from the University of Virginia," Abraham said in a Tweet. A 6'7" combination guard/forward, Abraham previously played at Highland High School, but is transferring to basketball powerhouse Paul VI (Fairfax, VA), who just had three alums - Trevor Keels (Duke), Jeremy Roach (Duke), and Brandon Slater (Villanova) - play in this year's Final Four. The UVA coaching staff has been in frequent contact with Abraham this year and he was in attendance for Virginia's game against Duke in Charlottesville back in February. Isaiah Abraham is the fifth player in the class of 2024 to be extended an offer by Virginia, joining five-star power forward Jarin Stevenson (Pittsboro, NC), four-star shooting guard Jaeden Mustaf (Matthews, NC), four-star combo guard Jayden "Juke" Harris (Salisbury, NC), and four-star wing Caleb Williams (Washington, D.C.). www.si.com/college/virginia/basketball/virginia-basketball-offers-four-star-isaiah-abraham-from-paul-vi

The skinny: Obviously, ‘Nova loves recruiting the DMV, so lots of ties here. Abraham resides in the same town that Angelo Brizzi and attended the same high school, but he will now be transferring to Paul VI Catholic, which is where Brandon Slater went to, and plays for the AAU program that has been the home of many Villanova recruiting targets. The most recent ‘Cats to suit up for Team Takeover? Slater and Justin Moore, who were teammates together. Abraham averaged 14.3 points and 4.2 rebounds as a sophomore. His recruitment started to pick up over the summer, as he started to gain numerous high-major offers. Abraham was also a first-team all-state selection. There’s a lot to like about his game, from his physical build as a guard/wing, to his athleticism, motor and shooting ability. www.vuhoops.com/villanova-recruiting/2022/8/29/23326277/villanova-recruiting-update-eight-targets-prospects-in-class-of-2023-and-2024-to-watch

“I would say I’m hearing the most from Virginia, Kansas State, UConn, Georgetown, and Marquette,” Abraham said. “I’m trying to set up a Kansas State visit right now, and I just took an unofficial visit to Virginia.”
“I would say I’ve personally developed the best relationship with Patrick Ewing and Jareem Dowling so far,” Abraham said. “I’m looking for a program that will develop me. When I go to school, I want to know I’m going to a place that will get me better.
Georgetown: “Patrick Ewing is sticking out with Georgetown. He is a great mentor, even reaching out to me after games.”

“So far I’ve been to UVA a couple times on unofficial visits and I was going to take an official to Marquette but our coach doesn’t want us taking official visits during the season,” he said. “I’ll be making my officials after the season so I’m thinking I’ll visit Marquette then.” “I’ve also been to Villanova for Midnight Madness but haven’t seen the facilities or take a real unofficial yet so they definitely want me to do that. UConn wants me to come up there but with the season coming fast we didn’t get to plan those things but were definitely going there at some point as well.” Georgetown: “I love it there too I just want to keep watching them and see how they progress from the last season they had. It wasn’t the best season they had so I want to see how they bounce back and keep it rolling. I definitely do love the coaching staff though. Coach Ewing is a great coach who was texting me during EYBL and all throughout the preseason. He’s great on communication.” 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Basketball-recruiting-Isaiah-Abraham-Virginia-Villanova-Georgetown-198501050/

Already a master of understatement, and at such a young age.

"Last month, Isaiah Abraham picked up his first SEC offer from Tennessee last month. Ever since his showing at The City of Palms Classic in December, the Volunteers have been one of the more active programs in Abraham’s recruitment... Along with the Volunteers, Abraham says Arizona State, Connecticut, Georgetown, George Mason, Kansas State, Marquette, Villanova, and Virginia are all involved in his recruitment. The 6-foot-6 forward out of Warrenton (Va.) says he has only taken unofficial visits to Georgetown, George Mason, and Virginia... Georgetown: “I took an unofficial visit there during the early part of my sophomore year. It was a great experience. I got to see the campus and the facilities. Patrick Ewing and Kevin Nickelberry were talking to me about the culture of the program and how I would fit in.” 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Isaiah-Abraham-Paul-VI-Virginia-Tennessee-Marquette-Georgetown--203178960/

"ON POSSIBLE OFFICIALS “I’m planning on Marquette for sure. Oh, and Tennessee, too. I want to see if I can visit down there.”... RIVALS' REACTION Abraham seems to have taken a liking to Marquette and Smart, but it’s probably a bit too early to declare the Golden Eagles as the frontrunner. In-state Virginia should also be seen as a serious player, and Tennessee could become one if that relationship continues to develop. Abraham is playing particularly well as of late, so new offers could arrive and change things at any moment. Making a solid prediction outside of “UVA and Marquette will be involved until the end” is difficult at this point." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/four-star-isaiah-abraham-mulling-visits-to-marquette-tennessee

You mean chucking up shots, playing no D, reconstructing the roster each year and taking L's. Hell of a culture.
