Wahab leaving”… completely out of the blue… I would add the Colorado shellacking to J.

LeBlanc going from looking like a beast to a benchwarmer to a transfer in less than a year. Epic disappointment.
IMHO Leblanc and Whittington both have set back the Hoyas multiple years in the last decade.

Ewing not getting fired after an 0-20 Big East season and 5 straight years being out of the NCAA at-large discussion. I didn't think our administration could possibly be that tone-deaf, stubborn and uninterested in meritocracy.

Good: - 2021 BET - Continued success vs CUSE, even for bad GU teams
Bad: - FGCU - 2019-20 season & roster collapse - dismantling & disappointment of 2014 recruiting class

FGCU has to be it. We were on the top of the world and were in the FF discussion going into the tournament. Then we got Dunked on as soon as the game started and it's been downhill from there.

After the loss to Ohio - I was not the least bit surprised by the FGCU loss. I was anxious from the moment I arrived at the arena in Philly, and that anxiety turned out to be well founded. Since that Ohio game, there has never been a moment of a Hoya NCAA tournament game where I went into the game expecting us to win. Hoping we would win? - yes. thinking we had a good chance to win? - yes. But expecting us to win? - no way. So there was absolutely zero surprise for me when we lost to FGCU. I also am never surprised by a player leaving Georgetown. Given how often players transfer (even prior to NIL and "no sitout" transfers) - players have been transferring so frequently in the past 10 years or so that no departure is surprising to me anymore. By the time Wahab transferred - I was almost expecting a "surprise" transfer of one of our good players, given how the previous two seasons had gone for Georgetown regarding player departure. Now after the current off season - I am much more surprised when a player decides to stay at Georgetown than I am when one decides to transfer Winning the BE Tournament in 2021 was far and away the biggest surprise from this list for me. We had played better the final month or so of the season, but I had absolutely zero expectation that we would win the BE tournament going into the week.

It’s been very surprising how many people misinterpret the meaning of a small sample size

The extension., and that includes its terms. It’s why Pat survived last season.

The number of idiots who are Pat Ewing fans before they are Georgetown fans. I don’t believe in banning people, and, in fact, support letting everyone have their say. But this is a pretty good example of why a number of people (not just 2 or 3) are fed up with you.

Well truth be told - Coach Pat was part of a team that won the national Championship and three final fours. This can't never be taken away. Oh by the way 4 time Big East Player of the Year. Coaching suspect - but heart as a player can't be questioned.

The number of idiots who are Pat Ewing fans before they are Georgetown fans. I know he's an extreme case, far from the norm, but hoya9797 really does illustrate the danger of raising newborns solely on formula.

The number of idiots who are Pat Ewing fans before they are Georgetown fans. This isn't even a thing for the vast majority. That said, is it more idiotic being a Patrick Ewing fan or being someone who posts, very literally, the exact same thing in every single thread, regardless of topic, expecting that it'll have some sort of effect other than being irritating to others? Get some Desitin. It works.
