Whoever the 5 is playing Georgetown will create a storyline. We are playing like a top 10 team right now and its a beast of a match up for anyone. That's the only storyline needed.

The seeding range of both make it feasible, geography is a non factor this year, and the committee has a history of setting matchups with interesting storylines. Beard is a great coach but it’s not a bad matchup. Santos Silva is 6’7 and would have to cover Wahab. Terrence Shannon isn’t 100% healthy. Mac has a negative assist to turnover ratio since Big 12 play started and gets pulled for defense in end of game situations. He’s still not a great jump shooter. His game is predicated on drawing fouls. Whatever he was hoping to become as a player at Texas Tech, it hasn’t happened. Hope he enjoys living in Lubbock, Texas and is looking forward to getting a Texas Tech degree and playing in the Hungarian League. Gotta admit...that last part made me burst out laughing.

It probs won't happen as I saw TT as a 6th seed due to poor performances in conference play and just throwing it out there: we have 4 quad 1 wins now and they have 3. Not that I am saying that we are better but the Big 12 def benefitted from most being down this year and Ivy cancelling.

First, congratulations to Coach Ewing. I don't post frequently, but look at every post I've made and You'll see that I've consistently expressed faith for Coach Ewing's coaching and good judgment. I really like this coach. He has so much heart and compassion. He truly loves his players. Any big man in the country...like Pat Baldwin, for example, would be missing out on a great opportunity to learn (a) great all around BB skills (b) great skills for big men (Big Man University) and (c) what it's like to have a coach who cares for you when your own father may not be around. Coach Ewing is a first-rate human being... He's defined by his compassion and love for others.
Now, Mac McClung. Guys, don't hate on the kid. He's only 21. Mac's a decent kid and comes from a good family. He's respectful and I've never seen him raise his temper to any of his teammates or coaches. So, please, wish the best for the kid or don't say anything.
I'm so excited for Coach Ewing. I think he has a real shot of landing Pat Baldwin. Pat's father seems like a really responsible, mature parent who wants his son to be happy above all other considerations. I'm sure they were watching the Hoya's absolutely demolish Creighton. They had to be thinking of the possibilities of teaming with Dante, Wahab, fellow newcomers Mohammed, Riley, Billingsley, Ryan M, Beard. Pat Baldwin's inclusion in the Hoya roster would elevate the team into the top 5 easily.
Congratulations Coach Ewing and to all his faithful fans!!!!!
