He's untested, but if Kobe Clark is healthy, I would like to see him defend Boughknight sometimes. Kobe is very long limbed and comfortable on the perimeter. Coaches decision of course. That is an interesting idea. Between Dante and Kobe, that seems to be a reasonable plan to contain their backcourt. The question is whether we will have enough offense.

Yeah we can't expect any offense from Kobe at this point, and we struggled against UConn's athleticism on defense as it was. Plus asking a freshman with virtually no experience to defend a guy of Bouknight's abilities seems a big reach. I guess he could help wear him down a little, but that would be about it.

I am all for thinking outside the box on ways to contain UConn, but if Kobe was a shut down defender, he would have been playing more minutes all season. I really liked what Kobe did early in the season, but he has not been able to get on the floor for a while now, so I have to believe that Kobe is either not 100% healthy or the staff may not think he is ready to contribute at this point.

He must be really inured because red shirt is useless this year since it’s a free year for everyone

We shoot it better, rebound better, have better ball movement...I really like our chances tomorrow. We will be motivated...outside of Book...we have Pickett, Blair and Wahab as the next best players on the court. Uconn is definitely beatable.

When we die, you and I should donate our brains to science.

Game Day bitches!
Let's not forget Sanogo broke Carey's nose, put him in the mask. I got no USE for this UConn team and would really like a 5th place finish in the league, which would make Pat the undisputed COY in the BEast. Let's do this.
The only person who hasn't been suggested for marking Bouknight is Sibley.

I’m looking forward to the game today. UCONN is playing really well, but this is a game we can win. I think the biggest question today is whether we can get into a better offensive rhythm than in the last game. Defense matters, but UCONN is going to score. We need to be able to stay with them and do a better job fighting for loose balls. That hustle was a big part of our wins over Xavier and Seton Hall.
I really want to see this team get to .500 in Big East play. It’s remarkable to even have that chance, given where things were a couple months ago. Hope we can have a strong performance today and get ready to make a run next week. Win or lose, I don’t think anyone is going to be especially excited to play us.

I’m not feeling great about today. UConn has been playing so well and I think are a tough matchup for us. We also haven’t played well on the road this year (something the schedule has helped since 3/4 games we lost were road games). We also haven’t won 3 straight BE games in forever.
I think we have to make at least 10 threes today if we are going to win. That means we need good Blair to show up with Pickett, Bile, and Carey. I honestly think we should let Bouknight “get his” and make sure Cole, Whalley, or Martin don’t beat us. UConn actually has won less in the games Bouknight has done more. He’s also pretty passive at times, so I think if we devote energy to stopping everyone else, it may play into our hands.
It would be great to post this win at noon and then watch the rest of the games to see where the cards fall. I’m thinking 7 seed is the likely outcome when the dust settles but am dreaming of that 5 seed.
On that front, I really am curious to see how Nova plays, and it’s one of the few times I’ll root for them to beat PC (which means I’m sure they’ll lose). How will Creighton respond vs Butler in another game where we need to root for the favorite? And Seton Hall at St John’s feels like a total toss up, as does Xavier at Marquette. Really won’t be surprised with any result today. Pretty interesting final day in the BE.

I am just excited that the players and coaching staff on this team have grown enough that we are even entertaining possibilities about better BET seeding. I did not think that was possible before the season started

Don't forget that we beat UConn in the first half just last week, despite a super slow start (before coverage began for me) and also despite a couple of last minute TOs that let them hang. We can handle this team, force them into crappy shots and rebound better. They have length and speed, but they are not super disciplined and have no special offense - they just drive and dish or shoot. WE GOT THIS And yes, I do live in CT, so this one means extra to me. Jail the Connvicts

I will say it again I believe Kobe Clark suffered a bad concussion during the first or second game of the season. In addition to the ankle injury.
I believe the Hoyas will “MOVE” & “REBOUND” today. The game will come down to the final minutes. I think the fighting CHUDIERS will pull this one out.

Nova and UConn will own the Big East, unless someone can dethrone them.
