Merrick Garland to be nominated for Attorney General. Lisa Monaco (former AAG for National Security Division) for DAG, and Vanita Gupta (former AAG for Civil Rights Division) for Associate AG.
Now that Dems have the Senate no worry about confirming his replacement on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Maybe Doug Jones will get nominated for a federal judgeship instead down the road.

Whatever will the racist and misogynist base of the Republican Party do? I hope Congress appropriates more money for the security of the US government. The seditionist terrorist supporters of the Republican Party aren't going away. www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/politics/biden-cabinet/

Jaime Harrison GULC '04 will be heading up the DNC. I wonder if happyhoya1979 wishes to laud this appointment from his undisclosed location in Russia?

The Trump Administration had decided to leave the #3 position at the State Department - Deputy Secretary for Management and Resources, basically the COO - empty throughout it's entire span because reasons.
The Biden folks have announced the intent to nominate Brian P. McKeon for that position. Brian is a 1995 graduate of the GULC

A plan is always preferable to nothing at all. And in hindsight, that's been the last nine months.

As divided as any are Biden’s own people, U.S. Catholics, with millions who don’t even see him as a legitimate Catholic at all, because of his support for abortion access and LGBT equality. Millions of Catholics don't agree on anything, and as long as they're not questioning dogma or are sedevacantists, the Church largely lets it pass. Per the polls, one in four Americans don't like Pope Francis, either. Most people that speak for or against someone are speaking on political grounds, not religious ones. The Church is not in any political party and does itself no favors by aligning with one. Biden gets heat over the abortion rights plank of the Democratic agenda (if he disagreed, he wouldn't have been elevated to a candidate, much less president-elect) yet the Republicans are clearly not consistent with the faith over migrant rights or capital punishment. Pro-life Democrats and abortion-rights Republicans have been purged from each party so any serious dialogue falls into political camps.

The Biden Bible carries 127 years of family history, but experts say it’s also a significant symbol for the new president. The choice to take the oath of office on this specific text says something about what Biden believes about the United States, the presidency, Catholics in this country, and the work ahead of him as he attempts to fulfill his promise to “restore the soul of America.” www.christianitytoday.com/news/2021/january/biden-bible-big-oath-office-catholic-history.htmlCompare and contrast the sociopath in front of St. John's: Reporter: “Is that your Bible?” Sociopath: “It's a Bible.”
