He really struggled against athletic teams. Villanova was actually one of the less athletic teams, so that fit his pace and he did well offensively with his crafty moves. While Georgetown really struggled to keep contact with the bigger, deeper and most athletic teams, Collin scored in double digits home and away against UConn and Marquette. Team largely got butts kicked by these squads, but Collin held his own. That seems like garbage points to me when there are huge deficits. I'm a big fan of Colin but felt like he failed his audition at Big East level play. I think he was more effective when he was heavier (or as Jamorko used to say Fat Boy) during the Big East Championship season because he had the size to bang. He slimmed down last year but lost that space eating size/strength while not becoming any more athletic or explosive. I think for him to be effective at the Big East level he needs to have that size as a shorter space eater who can play stretch 4. Kind of a mini Charles Barkley without the athleticism.

I want this kid back in a big way. He starts on this team and can score at all three levels.

I want Collin back too as I think he will be a good player off the bench. He isn't a starting 4 and wouldn't beat out our other options at the 3. If he is our starting 4 we will be giving up a lot on the glass again and we have more potential offensive weapons this year so I doubt we see him score as much. We needed scorers last year and he showed up but look how our record turned out. Of course that isn't all on him.

I feel like Collin, Aminu, Dante, JBill, and Carey were all forced into roles they weren't necessarily ready for whether due to natural talent, skill, or experience. They are all complementary players that were trying to be bucket getters. Even when they were successful in forcing the defense to rotate, their outlet options were an incredibly inconsistent Rice, an ill prepared Timmy, or a non explosive Ryan. All that led to way too many turnovers, blocked shots, forced misses, etc. I dont see that being an issue on this team as the athleticism, bball IQ, and skill set have improved. Watching Murray, Heath, Spears, Akok, Anglin, Bass, etc, they for certain know how to catch and shoot, make the next pass consistently, and are excellent at running the floor correctly for easy buckets They are also very good at beating defenders in one on one situations whether in the half court or open floor. Ewing has never had a team as capable as what he will put on the floor next year. If Ewing can recruit 1 more dependable big and the defense can be at least average, Gtown will be dancing come March.

Good for him! I wish he would have stayed. I think he could have been a solid contributor off the bench. It will be interesting to see if he starts for Tulane or not.

Collin gets to go home to a program that was farily decent last year. Good luck.

It's not surprising that, of our transfers, Collin seems to have had the best option in terms of a decent program in a good conference, and a very solid school. Best to him.

Reminds me of the Jerelle Benimon transfer but to a slightly higher level (although that was a good UMBC team he went to). Good luck to Collin.
