Yurt played 21 minutes, Wahab 19 Yurt had 8 points, Wahab 8 Yurt had 6 rebounds, Wahab 8 Yurt had 2 turnovers, Wahab 2 Yurt had 2 blocks, Wahab 3 Yurt had 3 personal fouls, Wahab 1
Yurt was a -26, Wahab was a +13
First time all season that I was truly disappointed with Coach Ewing, playing Yurt exclusively over Wahab was a loosing strategy that we all saw happening real time and St. John's realized it as well as Earlington scored 17 of his 19 in the 2nd half. Wahab has reason to be miffed.

At the end of the day, it comes down to the fact that we don't have very many skilled players on this team. Essentially the entire starting lineup is full of guys who would not be starters on the top teams in the Big East. Could they have been coached up throughout the season or last few years? Probably. The well is dry as far as quality recruits and player development. Not a good time to be a Hoya fan.

Not only have we lost 4 straight BET games, we’ve lost 3 of them on Weds night now. Embarrassing look for a program.

I can't wait for Pickett to graduate. He does not want to take a big shot...1st half he is aggressive and confident. 2nd half he is aggressive and confident as long as the lead is comfortable...he passed up a shot against Dunn to Robinson with 3secs on the shot clock....😬

Ewing failed this team tonight. He proved all of his detractors right tonight. His coaching down the stretch was downright embarrassing. He better take full accountability. He failed the guys who worked every single day. He failed all of them. His sets were terrible. Forcing it into the post every time??? This isn't 1990 anymore. And throwing it to an injured Yurt? Where he's turned it over in the double multiple times??? When our guards were getting downhill well, too. Also more importantly, WHY THE HELL IS Q OUT OF THE GAME FOR AN INJURED YURTSEVEN? ?? Yurtseven played hard and just wasn't ready for this one. He was clearly playing hurt. But Q would've been a much better option. As would Ighoefe. We needed toughness and speed on the perimeter and aggressiveness inside. Q gave you exactly that. What was the reason for keeping him out? And why the hell was he waiting so long to call a TO? What else could've happened?? You had two of them. You can't save them up for next season!!! Use them. Your guys were tired, looking for guidance, looking to play and you failed to provide that. Losing again at MSG. Sucking in the postseason. It's embarrassing. This is it with moral victories. I'm tired of it. This is it. Ewing needs to show something next season. It's time to win something. Winning a recruiting battle, winning a big game, winning support or something. It's time to do something. No room for moral victories. It's tiring. The first team out at MSG again. It's embarrassing. He needs something. Does he need better assistants? Kirby has brought in just about every recruit we have. Does he need something else? Does he need someone to help him in-game? He needs someone who can fix the defense. The Johnnies had open look after open look. They just missed them. It's embarrassing losing every time here. It's embarrassing not winning meaningful games. One year left to make an impression. Take it.

I would have put Wahab in the game along with Yurt rather than try to steal time with a 5th string guard. But that's a different issue (and frankly I'm not sure it cost us). I thought Wahab was better than Yurt tonight, don't get me wrong. I would have put him in down the stretch. At an absolute minimum I would have gone offense-defense with them. But I didn't think Yurt was the reason we lost the game.

There are some uncomfortable conversations ahead for this program. When, we don’t know, but it’s coming. And we’re not ready.

His plan was to run the four guys (Robinson very sparingly) and swap Yurt and Q out. They never saw the floor together. He played Yurt over Wahab. It's coaching malpractice. He should've done something to change the tides. Instead he did nothing. He changed nothing. He could've went with two bigs and a high low game. That could've worked. He didn't consider it, it seems. He swapped one for the other. He played Yurt over Wahab.

Another year or two like this and it won’t matter if we are ready or not. No one will care.

I am sure there were other factors but it seemed when he came in everything went downhill. When he got the ball inside they took it from him! Wow!

Blair playing more than 15 mins on any D1 team is a recipe for disaster. He is fundamentally incapable of being consistent. There is not 1 basketball skill at which he excels. Reminds me of the guys who look great in a pick game but struggles when ballin becomes organized. Worse yet, his confidence far exceeds his ability in a Bizarro Pickett kind of way. I hate to be so hard on the young man but the tape is out, and its a snitch.

I believe he literally forgot Q was on the bench when things started going bad....I still can't believe that Coach coached not to lose with 8mins left...

Ewing didn’t shoot 2-14 on threes like Blair. He did a terrible coaching job in the last ten minutes, but there’s lots of blame to go around.

Whelp, it has been an absolutely crazy season with things I've never seen nor imagined I would ever see. Playing most of the season with 7 players or fewer and only two the starters the last 3 weeks were starters at the start of the season. Here's to a less crazy season next year and some great additions in the off season. Deep thanks to Mosely and Allen, you guys will be deeply missed. Absolutely...I concur.

Ewing did have horrible sets forcing some of those bad shots. Ewing did not open up the game. Ewing did not prepare a defense. Ewing did not help his guys who needed it. Ewing did not play his best center tonight (just for tonight, Yurt is the better player) and failed his team. His sets created bad shots. His substitutions failed his guys. He didn't play his most capable lineup. He failed. He tried to play a brand of basketball that didn't work. He failed tonight. Mosely wasn't perfect, neither was Blair or Pickett. But they would've been better if he didn't run the same three out two in set and force the ball on the block to an injured center. If he allowed for dribble penetration rather than shrinking the floor, I don't think Mosely has as many turnovers and I can guarantee that Blair isn't 2/14 from deep and Pickett doesn't air ball two threes. Also, that first one wasn't open. He was leaning off of what I thought was a bad pass. At least that's how I saw it. I could be remembering wrong.
