He set some nice screens and boxed out well on the defensive end (I only watched the last quarter of the game.

I haven't watch much of our previous players until today but it's clear our team misses all of them despite all their flaws. Both guards are better defenders in their 3rd year and I attribute that more to experience then to their new teams. They both continue to excell at their strengths and we would benefit greatly from James' PG play and Mac's scoring.
Mac probably made the better choice for his career due to exposure and James seems to be fitting in with his new team while still controlling the ball.
Personally, James is the guy we lost I'd love to add to this team since it's nearly impossible to replace a strong PG and we wouldnt need to depend on a freshman and a SG to be our PGs.
While I miss both, I dont entirely blame Pat...there were big time chemistry issues and then events by the players themselves forced his hand. As a college coach, you try to manage that the best you can but some things cant be overcome. In the end, all players should be looking out for their own career and both Mac and James took a step up with their moves.

Akinjo ignores the wide open man in the middle, tries to win it himself with a man in his face but his airball is so awful that the center grabs it and puts it in to win at the buzzer. Apparently Akinjo is pretending this was a pass, those who watched him the last two years know better, so does anyone who watches the clip. If you pause it at the 2 or 3 second mark, you can see the center is so open he is jumping asking for the ball so he can dunk it for the win.
