Drinking a wee bit of DePaul blue kool-aid: I can see an 8-3 non-conference result (based on what I've seen so far with the non-conference schedule), 6-2 on the BE home games (losses against Syracuse and Villanova), and optimistically 4-4 with the road games (wins at USF, St. John's, Providence, and either Marquette/ND). That would take us to 18-9 going into BE tournament with 10 BE wins. I think it's attainable. Chandler and Woods would have to be the real deal and Cliff and Zo need to step up, those are the keys.
A Pearl of wisom from the Depaul board. I nearly fell of my chair when I read it. Apparently we are a home win not even worth mentioning. Sorry, Depaul fans, you're in a real league now where its tought to win games - say high to USF at the bottom of the standings for me.

That's only because we failed to clobber them last year.

I see a common theme across everyone's postings on all the boards - awe and surprise about how tough the schedule is. There are very few easy outs on anyone's schedule. Even the UL fans thought their schedule was tough but had sympathy for CinciNASTI team. The Big East tourney next year may be a bigger event than March Madness - think about it every game at Madison Square Garden and 10 potential sweet 16 teams.

and some love from Louisville posters... Cambridge is over there giving them a hard time...
Re: Big East b-ball schedule analysis Reply
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Actually, many feel that Georgetown will be ranked this season. Maybe not at first, but eventually they should. They have a great nucleus coming back and a very competent new coach that almost got them to the tourney his first year there.

Ah, yes the USF board is always good for a laugh. Some other hilarious ideas include - "we can win 5 big east games and make the NIT" and that GU is a weaker BE team - enjoy getting pac manned in your own gym USF.

C'mon, guys...everyone is optimistic right now, including us. The Collective BE Record, if you took each team's fans prediction, is something like 180-76, not the 128-128 it has to be.

Oooh...pac manned. That may be my new favorite verb. What does it mean?
From the Uconn board:
"Thats a Georgetown team with every single player back. They should be in the 2nd tier of teams ATLEAST and they get put with 3 of the worst teams in the league. They could easily be a threat to win the league. They should have changed Providence with Georgetown."
Next post:
"Conspiracy theory: The Big East needs Georgetown to return to glory. I'd rig the draft for them to get Patrick Ewing if I could. Having the Hoyas re-emerge on the borders of ACC territory could be a very good thing for the BE."
Couldn't agree more. Ya bastad..

Pac-man - To chump up a team so that only their eyes remain and then run away from you (to reform and try it all a season later).

I believe its a verb for stomping someone in an incredibly embarassing way otherwise known in regional dialects as whuppin' someone.

of course nd wants to play at the mci center...its like a freaking home game for them...of course they arent the only school
lets all make a promise to each other right now...gtown fans dont sell duke tickets to duke fans...two years ago i sat behind a bunch of dukies in section 111
that is just sad people...id rather cut off my pinkie ronnie lott style than do that...my tickets would go unused before i go and let any of those bandwagons get my seats
