SMU is 8-0, but the Hoyas will be the highest KenPom ranked opponent by 99 places.

Tough to measure how good SMU actually is given that atrocious schedule they have played. They might be a very good team with a bad schedule or a mediocre team that has not been challenged. I feel confident if we play like we did against OSU, the Hoyas should be in good shape.

At the time I thought their win against Evansville was big, but it looks like Evansville's success was just lightning in a bottle. Lets remind these guys what its like to play high major basketball.

Would like to see fewer turnovers, offense from Pickett, another rebounding advantage.
Keep it rolling guys. Hoya Saxa!

I think that it will be much harder for the Hoyas to get up for this game than last night. Hopefully the rollercoaster ride that has been this season ends and the team moves forward playing consistently. Cannot expect a streak shooter like McClung to be on every night, plus teams will be keying on him going forward. Must resist the urge to force shots that aren’t there. Hopefully though Pickett gets more than 4 shots and Blair, Gardner and Alexander become a bigger part of the offense.

Time to prove why we got the Big East name.
Keep the crisp ball movement, rebound the ball, and play with energy.

I apologize is previously discussed in another thread
Is the team just hanging out in the Oklahoma/Texas area until Saturday? If so, It should help the team bond and the break could not come at a perfect time.

Glad to see the "new" team be able to bond without any distractions etc.

This is true but we also can't expect a good shooter like Yurtseven to go 8 for 20 either, hopefully, the middle will still be a net positive for Gtown.. I'm optimistic about the upside of the team going forward especially if they share the game the way they did last night...

I think the most important aspect of this game will be Yurtseven staying out of foul trouble.

I think the most important aspect of this game will be Yurtseven staying out of foul trouble. ...and of course Allen hitting at least one running skyhook

Interested to see what the opening line will be This actually really interests me too. The Hoyas are 3-0 ATS as underdogs and 0-5 ATS as favorites. That's drastic. Also, 0-5 ATS at home and 3-0 ATS neutral/on the road. So, one of these trends could break if the Hoyas are listed as favorites. But, the main thing that interests me as a Hoyas fan is the team is 2-1 straight up as underdogs and 3-2 straight up as favorites. So, the Hoyas have been better as underdogs in all aspects than as favorites. Hopefully they don't play down to opponents, especially solid teams like SMU like they did against a very talented UNCG team. This team hasn't responded well as favorites, but has responded well on the road. It's really bizarre.

I don't expect the team to play as well as they did last night in every game. We are now VERY dependent on Mac's jumper and Omer's low post game. If those are off, we're in a heap of trouble.
What I would like to see is: consistent high levels of effort -- no more of this not showing up every other game; and a commitment to running the offense and defense as the coaching staff wants.
That's all I can ask.

That's all I can ask. Yeah, I want to see evidence that team chemistry issues caused the prior up and down play vis-a-vis opponents. What I'm looking for is that the Ok State game was truly a reset in attitude, confidence and energy. Shot-making can be an up and down thing, but you can still win on off nights if the effort and communications are solid. I also want to see Omer dominate, because I think that's something he can do just about every game.
