Hoyas Outscore Their Poor Defense In Win Over Georgia State by Will Shanahan, The Georgetown Voice "The Georgetown men’s basketball team downed Georgia State 91-83 on Sunday evening at Capital One Arena behind 25 points from sophomore guard Mac McClung. The Hoyas took a whopping 51 free throw attempts, making 40, to secure the victory. Though the visitors got the best of the Hoyas’ man-to-man defense for much of the game and went into halftime with a lead, GU was able to run-and-gun its way to a 58-point second half to outlast the Panthers. “We still made a lot of mistakes,” Georgetown Head Coach Patrick Ewing said. “But I was happy with most everything in the second half.”" georgetownvoice.com/2019/11/17/hoyas-outscore-their-poor-defense-in-win-over-georgia-state/

"That's my favorite thing. I know a lot of people pride themselves on scoring, or being able to put the ball in the bucket. But I pride myself on being able to pick up others and letting my energy feed off on others so everybody can be great together." - Josh LeBlanc

Big East Coast Biaswww.bigeastcoastbias.com/2019/11/18/20969972/georgetown-georgia-state-game-recap-final-score-2019[During second half] Though the Hoyas struggled to get stops on defense, the offense was able to score seemingly at will—thanks in part to their 37 free throw attempts in the stanza, and their lead was never seriously threatened for the remainder of the game. Ultimately, Georgetown’s 52 percent field goal shooting and 29 made free throws were the difference in the second half.
