All told, not an impressive half. Too many turnovers, too many CA open threes, and poor shooting. Yurt, Mosley, and Leblanc the bright spots.

Guards still not stopping dribble penetration, but definitely more help answers this year. Need to work on needless overhelp leaving 3 point wing shooters open too. These have been the problem for years now. Either the guys aren't taking the coaching or the scheme is telling them to help off. I have assumed it was the scheme.

The box score says that they are 8-23 from 3, but it feels more like 12-15. 8-23 can't be right, right? I don't feel like I've seen 15 misses from them.
Cut down on the dumb turnovers, find the open shooter a bit more and the score would be a bit better.
On D, I think it's tough right now. Lots of new guys to incorporate. And then they start hitting 3+ NBA threes ... and you feel you have to extend. We still do the unnecessary help thing. The defense is much better with Omer in.

Is there a way to reasonably estimate the number of possessions in a 1/2 to calculate PPP? Not really - but I can look it up after the game on KenPom and tell you. I probably won’t finish the game until later, off DVR, though.

Enjoying the footage of the Big East counseling college athletes on mental health.

Nothing I have seen so far in 1.5 games gives me confidence in upcoming games with Penn St, Texas, Syracuse, Ok St, or even SMU. As someone said, a lot of points we have scored are the product of physically inferior teams. Remember this CA just got beat by 45 points against a middling Baylor team and only scored 71 total against a non D1 school.

ALso, can we not refer to Yurt as 7? Maybe I am the only one , but I am finding it hard to follow the points being made. I agree...it took me a minute to figure it out the 1st time.... I won't do it again...😁

I was just curious if there was a quick formula to see where we stood halfway through the game. I would guess that with 54 points that we should be >110?

But it’s not like Baylor is a juggernaut by any means littered with NBA talent a la a Duke or Kentucky.

For anyone still looking for a stream, subscribe to the free trial at Fubo.tv, then go into "My Account" and change your ZIP to a NYC one (10001). Then you'll get YES. Just make sure you cancel your trial after the game, its $55 a month if you dont.

They lost to "unranked" Washington last night.
