We may be a year or two from needing to replace Akinjo. By then, we will know Dante’s capabilities and can go after a stud.

Harris accepted an offer to play college ball on the big stage at Georgetown University and his head coach Curtis Staples couldn't be more proud saying, "Dante opened a lot of eyes last year scoring 32 points a game last season, but the big knock against him was that he was too small so a lot of the bigger schools didn't recruit him initially, but over the summer God blessed him and gave him a couple more inches and he came back to school a couple of inches taller so I'm glad it worked out for him, he chose a great school." www.wvlt.tv/content/news/Harris-making-a-mark-at-Lakeway-Christian-Academy-565228122.html

Just watched 5’7” Chris Lykes of Miami drop 27 on Illinois on the road in a win. Heart is everything.

Heart paired with talent. Lykes was a top 75 four star recruit with high major offers.

Lots of PT just opened up for Dante Nothing against young Mr. Harris, but if we don't find someone on the grad transfer/decommit market to take up those minutes, I will be extremely dissapointed.

I think the staff might go the Juco route to balance out the classes essentially replacing what would have been a junior year Akinjo.

We have minutes to offer. I wouldn’t mind a top transfer due to a coaching vacancy.

Lots of PT just opened up for Dante Even In the most optimistic of scenarios this kid does not project into a Year 1 starter. He was brought in to learn behind James. Staff is going to have to get busy finding experienced backcourt help in Spring.

This may sound overly naive but what was Jonathan Wallace's ranking/evaluation back in the day? Granted a different player for a way different system. He is still to this day my favorite PG and surprised me how he comfortably steered the ship for us for 4 years.
Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic at this point, but frankly, it's more therapeutic to think this way at this current juncture in our program.

He followed JT3 to Georgetown as a walk-on. For four years this fanbase focused on what he couldn’t do instead of what he could. Wallace was a uniquely mature freshman though. A leader, hard worker, unflappable. It’s rare. It’s not a knock on Harris to say we need a veteran PG to come in. If Dante beats them out, great! But we lose Allen AND Jagan — we can’t go into next year with just Dante and Mac.

And not only do we need another guard we obviously need a MATURE guard, a MATURE LEADER! For myself I think we need a bigger PG a 6-5 guard that can handle these bigger front court teams. We got lucky OSU didn't have Issac Likekele tonight.

Ideally - we get a grad transfer who is 6'5, can shoot the lights out, plays great D, passes like a #@% and played for a final four team last year. -- AND who doesn't want to ball in the Association!
Look, Pat needs a talented kid - whomever he can find. Size would be good, talent better. If somehow he could resurrect RJ Davis, wouldn't eveyrone here take him? No, I am not suggesting that will happen, just - "beggars can't be choosers". We def need two more guards, to be honest

I really like this kid’s quickness. A fast point that can get into the lane and kick/swing the basketball looks like a recipe for success in college. I really hope that’s what Allen continues to do and definitely think this kid is capable of doing that also. The key is having wings that could score when they receive those passes. Yurt takes the pressure off our wings now, but you can see where Pat wants to go with this (fast point - recruit above average wings). Just like with Allen on Wednesday, you open up the floor for others, the points come back around to you (he finished with an efficient 15 pts). This kid looks like he could score as well when the opportunities come back to him...
