Recruiting is very frustrating. We have to give Pat for giving it all on the recruiting trail because that's all you can do. Some here want to crap on our current recruiting situation but they are the same people that would be better off fans of Kuntucky. Recruiting is a crap shoot and all a staff can do is give their best effort. Pat is doing it and I also can't wait to see the results on the court!

It must be said, Coach Ewing knows exactly what he is looking for in his point guards. Dante Harris seems prototypical of the many point guards he has been recruiting. I like the fact that as a right-handed shooter, he seems to have a strong handle and can finish at the rim with his left hand.
Welcome aboard Dante Harris!!!

Joey Brown was a talented hard-nosed 5’10” PG from the Mourning era. Dean Berry taught AI the crossover.

I worry (a lot about other things too) that he is really small 5'10 but I'm certainly willing to give a great shot at things - esp if Pat likes him!

I'm looking forward to Dante Harris contributing to the program. If he has the quickness some of the tape suggests, he should do well in our style of play. I also like the idea of having another guy who can get up and under an opponent's grill in the back court. If we want to pressure the ball, push the ball, and score in transition, a kid like this should do nicely. If he has an outside shot, he could be a lot better than that. I trust the coaching staff's talent assessment. They've been spot on with some of their early assessments. Let's hope Dante is a late bloomer. I will also add, after viewing the clip of his announcement and reading his social media post, he seems like a great, respectful kid, who appreciates the opportunity he has earned. I like him already.
