I'm fine with following Akinjo, Mac and LeBlanc. Gives us something to do when the Hoyas aren't playing. And it is interesting to see how there careers turnout. Alot of people were interested in Benimon's development and Benimon was nowhere as highly ranked as Akinjo/Mac/LeBlanc). No they weren't. At least not until after the fact. People didn't think much of him here because he wasn't highly recruited. JTIII would get bashed for playing him mostly because he didn't have the fanfare that came along with his recruitment. Which was a shame. He was a good kid, and was nice role player for us at the time. Because he transferred to Towson, there was no interest until they found out he could actually play and he became a force at Towson. People are mostly interested in Mac because he had a following coming into Georgetown. And with some fans, that fanaticism hasn't stopped since he has left. I'm talking about his development once he transferred which is what the discussion in this thread is about. Not Bennimon's time at Georegetown.

This is the first time I've watched him other than youtube highlights and on the big screen his body looks really lean. Was almost unrecognizable at first.

I'm talking about his development after he transferred too. People didn't think much of him because he wasn't highly recruited, played sparingly while was here, and wasn't seen as a loss when he left. He was not picked up from major program either. After he transferred, people didn't take notice of him or follow his every move. He didn't have a following here even after he blew up at Towson. That is in no comparison to the following of Mac and Akinjo. Usually when guys leave, they are gone and people might bring them up from time to time if that. Not this obsession with guys who never contributed to 1 NCAA tournament appearance for the program and decided they no longer wanted to be here.

There were guys on here who were keeping tabs on Benimon at Townsend and posting about it here. You can do a post search and it will turn up.

Mac has more than half TT's points with 19. He's not doing bad for a low ranked recruit who supposedly wasn't gonna to be able to handle Big East level competition coming from Gate City level competition.

You are right, there is a thread The first post in that thread was in February of that time, after he was blowing up. Thanks.

Mac started 4 for 8 from the field. He's only hit 1 for 8 since but has gotten to the FT line. Bilas said more than once that Beard wants Mac to be more efficient.

Mac is still inconsistent, very streaky. He is making a concerted effort to pass more though.

He was a tough dude.

He went 5-16 with 1 assist and TT just took an L where they were up for the majority of the game. Deja vu. He also looked visibly frustrated when the buzzer sounded and the game was over, probably because he didnt get the opportunity for the last shot. Time to transfer again Mac.

Maybe his awful rapper cousin can collaborate with Akinjo’s drunk uncle on a powerful duet hip hop classic.

Seems like he started off okay and then did nothing in the 2nd half

To be fair they probably should have won that game but blew the inbounds. Chris Beard must be a bad coach!
