I would think Sibley and Moncreif are pretty similar players. Getting either of them would be a great addition to the recruiting class. It sounded like Sibley was going to decide fairly soon and make an announcement, and that the Hoyas looked to be in a really great spot for him. Should we be concerned if this decision keeps getting extended? /hopefully he doesn't postpone from his Nov. 23-25 decision date. He'll be committing right after the Empire Classic concludes.

Having taken official visits to Georgetown, Iowa, and Minnesota, Sibley will pick between the three. When he does remains up for debate. He told Rivals.com that he could sign before the early signing period closes on November 20, but if he doesn’t, could commit a week or two later.
The Hoyas had some of the momentum earlier this fall and while, if I had to pick one school for him, it would be Georgetown, I still do not feel entirely confident on such a prediction. Either way, count Sibley among the few that are on the fence with signing early or holding off another week.

Doesn't come across as excited to potentially be a Hoya. He could just be nervous about making a life altering decision.

Does signing a third player from the class of 2020 mean that one player with remaining eligibility will need to leave after the season?

Does signing a third player from the class of 2020 mean that one player with remaining eligibility will need to leave after the season? I don't want to come across as insulting but numerous times on this board we've talked about how Yurtseven is almost assuredly gone after the season is over. That opens up another schollie. He would have more eligibility but he will have earned his degree after spending four years in college.

Probably realizes if he comes here the fans will start saying he should sit in order for Ewing to limit his rotation to 7.5 guys. Anyway people accused Terrance of not sounding to excited to be a Hoya just days before he committed to Gtown.

I just find it somewhat strange to ink a third player from 2020 because, for any number of reasons, the player you identified may choose to stay and play one more year. Then what? I guess it all works out in the end, but I don’t like how it makes the departure a fait accompli prior to when that player’s decision needs to be made.

I hear ya, but I've been given the impression that this is what Yurtseven wants. Must remember some in his camp didn't even want him going to college in America, plus there was some thinking he would leave school altogether after his soph season. He himself probably never envisioned being in school for four years.

It probably does not make much sense to wait for Yurtseven to make a decision about his 4th year of college eligibility - because it seems pretty clear this decision has already been made. My sense is that Ewing is recruiting in accordance with this reality.

I've seen Omer interviewed in which he clearly stated this is his final year in college. Yurtseven is gone after this season, most likely to the Association.
Hoping Jamari chooses the Hoyas. Patrick keeps building.

Does signing a third player from the class of 2020 mean that one player with remaining eligibility will need to leave after the season? As SirSaxa mentioned, in an interview with the Hoya two weeks ago Omer explicitly said this is his last year. Since it will be his 4th year in college, I'm assuming he's on track to graduate, so he's probably looking to play professional basketball no matter what after this season. features.thehoya.com/ready-to-take-over
