Onto the second round for the first time since 2014, led by 7 goals from Taylor Gebhart! Next up, Syracuse.

Face offs will be key. The Irelan kid was a monster at the x for UAlbany last year before grad transferring to Yale to play his last year with his brother. He will win the majority but we need to keep him below 80% to have a good chance to pull off the upset.

At 7-0 and then 9-1 9:34 into the game, with Yale scoring a couple goals within 15 seconds of scoring thanks to their total faceoff dominance (Ierlan set an NCAA tournament record for most faceoff wins in a game), I thought we would just get run out of the building. To get it from there to 12-9 heading into the fourth was a great accomplishment. Then Yale's offense blew up again and that was that.
I didn't have the chance to catch any of the women's opening-round win, but will try to watch them take on the Lower Canadians.

Women lost to Syracuse yesterday afternoon, 14-8. Season concluded. Still, a Big East title and an NCAA win is a fine accomplishment. Onward and upward.
