Exception the anchor for Miami (Oh); looks like he ran down the Hoyas anchor. Missing splits for the Hoyas. Wisconsin has two big time All-Americans on their DMR, although neither are Americans! Thanks for posting, glad they eventually got the meet restarted. My guess is Hoare, knowing he's the best miler in the country with a killer kick, let himself get caught, sat, then did what he had to do to get the win.

Disappointing the women didn't run a 4x1500m. Only four teams finished, with Villanova winning pretty easily in 17:39.26. Indiana, Vanderbilt, and Wisconsin were the other finishers; Penn State DNF. Meet is currently under a rain delay, two events before the men's COA DMR. And it doesn't look as if the women are entered in the COA 4x800m. They certainly have enough 800m runners on the roster. And yes pretty bad weather with thunderstorms and wind in the area. The warnings last until 9:15 pm EDT. The entry list now has Georgetown women entered in the 4x800. Seems like a last minute thing.

The men who ran the DMR were Spencer Brown (1200), Kenny Rowe (400), Ruach Padhal (800) and Nick Wareham (1600/mile?). Still no splits.

1 Georgetown 7:25.18 Kenneth Rowe (1:52.46), Ethan Delgado (1:52.25), Ruach Padhal (1:49.57), Joseph White (1:50.91) 2 Indiana 7:25.43 Adam Wallace (1:51.66), Jalen Royal (1:52.27), Kenneth Hagen (1:50.79), Cooper Williams (1:50.72) 3 Penn State 7:25.55 Billy McDevitt (1:52.10), Drew Maher (1:52.04), Gary Ross (1:50.27), Domenic Perretta (1:51.15) 4 Columbia 7:26.93 Solomon Rice (1:52.27), Jackson Storey (1:51.22), Alek Sauer (1:50.65), Josiah Langstaff (1:52.80)
The first two legs ran great and kept them in the lead pack, Ruach ran a brilliant last 200m to make up a margin and get the stick to Joe even with Indiana, Penn State and Columbia (and on a first review of results, he seems to have run the only sub-1:50 leg of the day). Then Joe's anchor was basically tactically perfect, sitting comfortably in third for the first 500m+ covering a move to the lead by Perretta with 230m or so and continuing past him right before the turn, then holding off a challenge by Williams at the top of the home straight. Fantastic race, boys! Hoya Saxa!

1 Wisconsin 16:39.82 Olin Hacker, Zack Benning, Oliver Hoare, Morgan McDonald 2 Indiana 16:39.86 Joseph Murphy, Kyle Mau, Teddy Browning, Ben Veatch 3 Georgetown 16:40.63 Jack Salisbury, Christian Liddell, Nicholas Wareham, Spencer Brown
The boys did well again today, coming within a second of taking home a third wheel! Running against the country's best 1-2 distance punch in Hoare and McDonald, the Hoyas ran a great race.
Great Penn weekend for the Hoyas!

Unrelated to Georgetown sports, but am I the only one who's suddenly hungry for mackerel? I hope your mackerel is holy!!! In my mind I thought the Hoyas would have been favorite with Joe as our anchor. I was out giving Hoya Baxa, so I didn't hear or see the race. Thanks for describing the great victory. Hoya Saxa!!!

Women's 4x800
9 Georgetown 9:02.87 Sami Corman (2:13.88), Cathilyn McIntosh (2:20.39), Olivia Arizin (2:16.68), Josette Norris (2:11.94)
Suspicious of Cathilyn's time, as she went 2:08 on the DMR. A fall?

Apparently, these are the first Penn Relays wins for the men in 15 years. Hard to believe with our middle distance history that we have had a dry spell that long.
