While the article makes some valid points, they are undermined to some extent by the fact that many of the alleged "myths" are not arguments that are commonly put forward, they are just straw men that the author presents as myths just to knock them down to bolster his main points.

It’s true that some of the myths are not common objections (#2 and #12 jump out at me). But, the issues that have come up time and time again are all addressed in here.

These are improvements over the current system, to be sure. But, I hate the premise that we have to design a system that will get some money to the players while still keeping them eligible under the NCAA rules. The whole problem starts with the fact that the NCAA has the authority to create rules which are designed to funnel all this money away from the players and that the rule writers are the very people who benefit from this. Why this is not an outrage is beyond me.
