5 seed and NYC? That'd be pretty nice.

5 seed and NYC? That'd be pretty nice. I think we might not be eligible to play at the Garden in the NCAA tournament. we are playing at least 4 games there this year - 2 in the November tournament, St. John's, at least one in the BE tournament. There is a limit on how many games you can play in an arena in a season and still be eligible to play in that arena in the NCAA tournament. Someone probably knows what that number is. I am guessing it must be at least 4, but I'm not sure. I know one year Villanova limited their number of games at Wells Fargo in order to maintain eligibility to play their in the NCAA regionals that season.

The rule is about a team's home court(s), not the number of games a team plays in an arena. But you are correct that 4 home games in a specific arena would trigger that rule.

That would eliminate any BE team that wins the BET or makes it to the final. Maybe even the semi-final. Because most teams play SJU at MSG as well.

Definitely agree with this take...
Georgetown – Jamarko Pickett, Junior, 6-foot-8
A member of Patrick Ewing’s first recruiting class, the Washington, D.C. native put up a strong freshman season, but just averaged 6.2 points per game on 38 percent shooting as a sophomore. Ewing liked the way Pickett defended, and he continued to get solid minutes, but a second-year offensive struggle kept him from breaking out alongside a star-studded freshman class. If Pickett’s perimeter shot can find consistency and he can take the next steps offensively as a junior, that could be a key variable as the Hoyas try to return to March Madness for the first time since 2015.

Creighton landed a major piece on Sunday night when seven-footer Ryan Kalkbrenner made things official by offering up a commitment, sources confirmed to Rivals.com. Just a week ago, the No. 69 ranked prospect out of St. Louis (Mo.) Trinity Caholic made an unofficial visit to Creighton. The trip was his second to campus after an official during the summer and the Jays staff left a big impression. “One of the things that stood out on the official was the coaching staff," Kalkbrenner told Rivals.com earlier this month. "I really liked (Greg McDermott), their style and I felt that they made me feel comfortable there." One of the class of 2020's elite shot blockers, Kalkbrenner is a true rim protector who has made major strides in his game over the last year. He runs the floor well, he rebounds, he can help defend in space during pick and roll situations and he's showing signs of developing into a very dangerous shooter with size. As good as he already is, the upside once he adds strength and more experience is through the roof. Kalkbrenner is Creighton's first verbal commitment from the class of 2020. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/four-star-ryan-kalkbrenner-picks-creighton

Vince Cole, the 6-foot-6, 180-pound shooting guard from USC-Salkehatchie, committed to St. John’s on Sunday after his official visit. He will have two years of eligibility beginning in 2020. St. John’s coach Mike Anderson and assistant T.J. Cleveland have made Cole a top priority since offering him in late July. “Their messages to me was that I have the opportunity to play right away,” he said of the St. John’s staff. “They are losing some seniors and I could fill in those spots missing. I like that I’ve been building a relationship with Coach Cleveland and Coach Anderson for some years now, dating back to when they were at Arkansas. They recruit JUCO guys and have had success with them as well.” Cole, who averaged 18.7 points and 6.2 rebounds last season while shooting 47 percent from the field and 44 percent from deep, was also courted by N.C. State, Oregon State, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Buffalo, Fresno State and Akron, among others. “He brings instant offense with the ability to score in bunches as well as create for others,” said his head coach, Jake Williams. “He brings experience, leadership, toughness, and a winning pedigree. His length and athleticism will fit Coach Anderson’s defensive style of play perfectly. We couldn’t be happier for Vince and his future with St. John’s.” www.zagsblog.com/2019/09/22/vince-cole-to-st-johns/

Every team has depth on the 1st day of practice... Is playing eight guys really noteworthy from a "depth" perspective?

I sure hope that we play more than eight with regularity.
