We really have not been in on the top locals for years. Walker was not highly recruited. I am talking about the top recruits in the DMV. We have no shot at Timberlake. Extending offers is not the same thing as recruiting a kid. Every 5 star kid will get an offer from Georgetown. Getting 5*kids will not start into '22 if things go well. Unless they just love GTown or Pat....kids like Timberlake and Roach have dreamed of playing for X blueblood team probably since 5th or 6th grade....now its time to choose a school and GTown has done nothing to make thing think c'ship (BE or National)....my 10th grade son ('21)looks at GTown and thinks "they're Ok"....we need the classes of '21/'22 to think "they're good" by the end of next year....if we want to pull 5* kids in those classes....

By that logic, Memphis doesn't get the kids they have in this years class. Georgia has a top ten class and my guess is most kids don't remember the days of Dominique Wilkins. We are fine. Keep winning and get the combo of guys that are three to four year performers and then compliment that when the chance comes along.

If you staff well you can make an instant impact with local recruiting. The next opening on the staff really needs to be a local guy with great connections.

Latest Bracketology: www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketologyWe're in the First Four Out w/ Syracuse, Alabama, and Colorado Nova a 2 seed, Seton Hall a 3 (hmm) Creighton(6) and Marquette (9) are the only other BE teams Providence in Next Four Out Didn't really look at the rest, but SHU seems way too high. Powell declared & left the door open, but... even if you think he's gonna return, I don't see the Pirates as a Top 10-12 team.

Memphis falls under the 1st sentence that I typed....Wiseman was coached by Penny....so he had 1 5* in pocket and kids want to play with other great kids....but I think Wiseman is still the only 5* kid in the class to date...unless the Ellis kid is 5*....look we almost had 1 based off relationship but the Chapel Hill draw was too much....I still would love to know what happened with Stewart....a class of Stewart and Anthony would have been big....

The idea that anyone knows who will qualify for the "first four out" of the 2020 NCAA tournament is like picking candidates for the 2024 presidential race.

Justin Simon (St. John's), Quentin Goodin (Xavier), Paul Scruggs (Xavier), and former Hoya Paul White listed as participants in the Professional Basketball Combine.
Weird that Jessie Govan isn't listed as a participant in any of the combines since Port Smith...? Haven't heard of any workouts with NBA teams or any activity...? Don't know of any injury? Think what you may but Govan is too talented not to have any opportunities. He is only 21 and should have plenty of professional options. Makes me think of two possibilities:
1. He's already got an arrangement set up? Went through the process last year and may have been given a nod for some kind of arrangement.
2. He's no longer looking to play professionally 😞

I don’t think it’s a mystery at all. It’s Europe or bust for Jess.

He's going to have a pro day as well as individual workouts with teams. He has been shuttling back and forth between Chicago and DC. Give him another two weeks to get in better shape and he'll be ready for teams come early June.

Worth congratulating any Big East athlete who returns and puts in the work to earn his/her degree.

Ed and Nurys Cooley --- now there go a couple of A1 role models! Good for them, for PC, for the BE and for America.
