Given the paintball report and the below quote from Wade, sounds like a maturity issue versus something more concerning. Hopefully he has grown up this year after suffering the consequences of his actions. I would expect Kirby knows him pretty well, so you have to trust the coaches on this one and hope the kid takes advantage of a second chance.
“They made a mistake,” Wade said. “They made a mistake that young people make. I think they both regret it. I don’t want to put words in their mouths, but they’re good kids. They’re good people. It’s difficult as a coach. You look at yourself as a parent-figure and want to help these guys. It’s never fun when you have to have those meetings. It’s not the most exciting part of your job, but it’s part of what you have to do. You have to maintain a culture. You have to maintain a level of discipline within your program. Like I said, they will be fine. It was a mistake that anybody could have made in college, and we want to represent our school, our team better than that.”

What we get a year or two of his serves and still have two available scholarships to get another SF after Yurtseven and Mosely leave. Think about it!

What if anything does LeBlanc know about Alexander?

I added up his juco stats so far this season: 18.2 pts per game (54% fg, 35% from 3) 8.2 rebs/game 1.8 assists, .77 steals and .95 blocks per game.

Sorry, it's the same school (Jones County Junior College) that has been discussed on this thread since September 2018. Likely scouting Galen Alexander, former 4 star wing who was dismissed from LSU (where he had been recruited by Kirby). I can't imagine what horrific thing you would have to do to be dismissed from LSU. Anything short of killing someone or being overrecruited warrants a 1-2 game suspension, not a dismissal. hm It wasn't this paintball thing. He wore his Alabama sweatshirt to class. Imagine the response if Josh LeBlanc wore a Syracuse sweatshirt around campus.

He would be a welcome addition to the roster next year and would fill a big need. I would say he would be a likely starter but I know better.

Stats are not impressive for JC.

What can you share with us about his game and how he would be a fit...do you think his being asked to leave LSU is indicative of attitudinal issues that could linger, or has he grown/matured from that...what about academics...can he be a solid student athlete at Georgetown? By the way, is the "la" Los Angeles or Louisiana...thanks for any info...oh, he appears to be physical enough...can he shoot the perimeter jumper, and how would you compare him to Gardner/Shannon?

Darrell Owens who knows him well seems to think he is similar to Josh and not a guard which is more what it seemed in the vids I saw. I thought he showed a better shot although his stats aren't great but serviceable. I'll defer to him which means maybe he isn't the need I thought he was. We need a big athletic guard. If he can shoot even better.

From his HS days: Alexander is a very good student, taking some AP courses and is a likeable, coachable player. Guys that are humble tend to go a long way as they grind along with a clear, focused goal in their sights. www.d1nation.com/news_article/show/469693RSCI had him at 120, same year Jamorko #92 -- I know, doesn't mean much. Seems like he would be a 20 year old.. Junior? Kbones says he shot 35% from three.... OK. Looks pretty darn athletic. My guess? He may not be a game changer recruit, is more of a slasher and SF than 2G, but could still help. Kirby would know him well.

He fits what Pat wants. Seems very athletic and not afraid of contact. Good size and handle. Stroke doesn’t look too bad.

Like some others I'd prefer Gardner as a SF and, given Gardner, a guard as the last recruit in the class -- but Alexander seems like a decent talent.
Good alternative, I suppose. Between Canada, Africa, JuCo, blue chips, and reaches -- Pat & Co definitely seem to be leaving few stones unturned.
Still have summer transfers & late de-commits, too...

Only slightly related, but just noticed that Tyler Adams used to be an assistant at Jones County Junior College a couple years ago. Obviously wouldn’t have coached Galen, but just shows that the Hoyas have even more of a relationship with the school.

Might want to look at Tyson Jolly, Juco at Trinity Valley (same school PE recruited Wendell Mitchell at last year). Also a Baylor transfer, CG. Averaging 22, 12 and 4 currently. 21 years old already so he’s got experience.
