Next year the standard has to be getting into the NCAA Tournament. We got close this year, our 3 best players will be sophomores, and our replacement for our All-conference graduating center is probably a better player than Govan. We'll have some upperclass depth in the backcourt, and infinitely (and I do mean infinitely!) better options at backup center. Unless one of our top 4 players for next year leaves the program unexpectedly, we should progress to the NCAA Tournament no matter how good/bad the rest of the conference is. If we can add a 3/4 player who can be part of the regular rotation, all the better.
The details beyond this (overall record, conference record, how deep we go in the BE/NCAA tournaments) are too dependent on too many different factors to even try to predict or set expectations for now. but no matter what else happens, anything short of making the NCAA Tournament will be disappointing next year. Not necessarily a disaster, nor a "Ewing must go" situation. But definitely a disappointment.

Presumptive starting five should be pretty good next year. Bench is going to be a little interesting absent juco / grad transfers, but still think we’ll be good.
Akinjo needs to work on finishing in a lane with college bigs, but should benefit from it clearly being his team next year McClung needs to work on his 3 and playing within himself (shot selection) Pickett needs to tighten up his handle but it kind of seems more mental block for him, if he can get back mentally to 17-18, the length and athleticism are there Yurtseven — I’m in the group that, given Govan’s defense and Yurtseven’s year off, think we’re upgrading at center
But I think we go as high as LeBlanc takes us. Needs to work on his handle and jumper, but has the size and athleticism to be an NBA-caliber wing. Otto Porter isn’t the best comp, and he won’t be that good, but some of LeBlanc’s end of the season reminded me of 2012 Otto.
