I would be so happy if 33 picks one of the greatest 33's ever in the history of college basketball. I think he could benefit tremendously from the old 33 and the Hoyas could benefit from the new 33. C'mon Moussa come and play at Big Man U!!!

If the season is going to be conference-only, would you really want to play in the 6th (SEC -- LSU, UGA, UK) or 7th (AAC -- Memphis) best conference* in the country??!!??
C'mon, Moussa - the choice is SIMPLE... learn from the HOF'er... be a HOF'er!
GEORGETOWN HOYAS!
That's all I got.
* - 2020 KenPom rankings

Perhaps Coach Ewings first big win of the recruiting war. Then it starts falling like dominoes. Then the Knicks get Mark Jackson as the coach. Then the Mets go 50-10. Then....

I would love for him to decide G'twn ofcourse, however what puzzles me is why wouldn't he wait for the final decision to be made on whether all fall sports are cancelled. Just seems like the smart thing to do. Especially for someone who in one years time will be in the league. That being said it appears cancelling is inevitable but waiting for the verdict keeps his options open. At the very least you're not concerned with having to be granted a release from your commitment.

3pm CT. I am hopeful but have no expectations. Pat has done a great job with this recruitment and if we don't get Moussa, its not for a lack of trying. We already are crowded at the 5 so unless Pat promised Cisse PT at the 4, I don't see us winning this.

Cisse had mutual interest so I have no issue with the effort spent.

There's no reason for a one and done to come here. Our selling points of being a strong academic university in a good conference do not matter to them.

One and dones have joined lesser rosters and programs. Again, if a player shows interest, you reciprocate that interest. Texting a dude daily doesnt take up much effort. What would you rather do with our last 2020 scholarship?

Or do you regularly quit on efforts because they wont pay off immediately?

Where, in your view, should the cutoff be for Georgetown recruiting, given the current state of the program? Low 5 stars, or is it just 4, 3 or 2 star players? Rankings change all the time, so do we wait for a rankings drop to a level you find acceptable before making our move, which would likely be too late? We can argue about results, but no one can doubt the effort Coach and crew devote to recruiting. So I say, let them shoot for the stars AND recruit players who, at this point in time, are more likely to come to Georgetown.

Using a scholarship on a one-and-done in the class of 2020 is essentially the same thing as saving it for someone from the class of 2021--the scholarship will be open in the fall of 2021 for the latter player. Not saying that it's necessarily the best use of our time to chase the guy, but saving the scholarship for next year is not a reason to lay off.

ESPN says its Memphis: "Moussa Cisse, the No. 24 prospect in the ESPN Class of 2020, has committed to play for the Memphis Tigers, he told ESPN on Wednesday. "Coach Penny Hardaway is a legend and can help me develop my game and take it to the next level," Cisse told ESPN. "He has a lot of influence in the league. I've been in Memphis for a year now and everyone is telling me to stay. With all this stuff we're facing with the pandemic, I didn't get to go visit any other schools except Florida State. I'm getting a lot of love from the fans." Cisse picked Memphis over scholarship offers from Kentucky, LSU, Florida State, Georgia and Georgetown. He was originally scheduled to commit in early June but decided to push back his decision out of respect to the Black Lives Matter movement." www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/29468237/no-24-rated-prospect-moussa-cisse-commits-memphis-basketball
