You would think the men would do better in the 4x800 relay, since they had four of eight in the individual 800m. And you would think they would do better than the women.

The men finished 3rd (probably the best in a while and might even have won the track meet as opposed to the track and field meet).
The women finished 6th.
Women - Team Rankings - 18 Events Scored 1) Villanova 194 2) DePaul 118 3) Marquette 113 4) St. John's 87 5) Butler 60 6) Georgetown 54 7) Providence 51 8) Xavier (Ohio) 20
Men - Team Rankings - 18 Events Scored 1) Villanova 174.5 2) Marquette 169.5 3) Georgetown 114 4) Butler 95 5) DePaul 88 6) Providence 33 7) Xavier (Ohio) 17
As opposed to the bball results today, we beat Creighton. Of course, it helps that they do not field a team.

Over in NY the USATF meet is going on.
In the heat 4 of the 1000m

The heat consisted of one present Hoya, one former Hoya (Manahan), and one future Hoya (Payamps). That is a great 1000m time for a HS runner.

Joe's absence from the 800 final and the relays has gotten my worried mind churning.

Joe's absence from the 800 final and the relays has gotten my worried mind churning. Me too. Hope they held him out to prepare to NCAAs.

Joe's hamstring got sore after JDL and he still felt it after the prelim. Coach Bonsey held him out of any other running at BE; he didn't want him to have to take time off after BE. He said Joe will be fine.

Indoor Track Athletes of the year
MID-ATLANTIC REGION – Joseph White – Georgetown
White, a senior from Clifton, New Jersey, is ranked fourth nationally in the 800 at 1:46.59, a time that he ran in early February at the NYRR Millrose Games. He also ran the 1200-meter leg of a DMR that is ranked 10th in the NCAA this season. Green is the first athlete in program history to win this award.
I am not sure why Jon (?) Green is mentioned. I guess they got their colors mixed up.
In addition the men are 43rd in the nation this week and they are 7th regionally.
