Poor Q. "Punched" in the mouth, figuratively. Ohio State’s physicality in the post proved problematic for the Terps. They were outscored 32-22 in the paint, with Zed Key scoring six points on three straight possessions early on as he took advantage of a matchup with Qudus Wahab. Wahab played just 19:39, the lowest total among the Terps’ starters. “It sends a team a message when you’re the more physical team and you just come out there and punch them in the mouth,” said Key, who had 14 points and seven rebounds. “I think it helped us win today. Maryland’s a really good team, but we got them from the jump.” www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/02/06/maryland-ohio-state-basketball/

Maryland scores 87 at home, loses by 23.

Well, he did play a whole nine minutes and did get a steal. Otherwise...yikes.

I feel sorry for the kid, who got incredibly bad advice from those who have influence on him.

I am not past a little schadenfreude, although with young players, I usually don't get too into it. And in this case, my only feeling is being somewhat depressed. Qudus was obviously given some real bad guidance, and it has really hurt him. And the Hoyas certainly could have used him this year. Just a pretty crappy situation all around.

I wonder if Turgeon leaving is enough for him to get a waiver at his next destination.

I think we all saw this coming when he transferred from Georgetown. Sorry, Q. There's still no better place for you.

Boy, glad I was sitting down when I read this...absolutely shocked. Stunned. Amazed. Dismayed.
I guess words are failing me.

A transfer that worked out for exactly no one.

I'm sure he'll have plenty of options once he tells other coaches that he has a solid midrange game that no one has ever seen.
