This guy's mindset and skills are what we want for the Hoyas. He has great skills. Did we offer yet? You better know that many bigtime programs are going to be all over this guy. Be wise get involved now.

Be wise get involved now. Yes he has an offer and he had this to say after receiving it. “It was a dream come true,” explained Farrakhan of the Hoyas offer. “I know all about Allen Iverson’s history there, so to get that offer meant a lot. Also, to have the chance to be coached by an NBA Hall of Famer would be a blessing.” I know a lot of players say similar things to the point where it is almost frustrating, but have to think that reaction puts us in the mix. He should be at the very top of our 2020 board. Seems perfect for Pat.

If we got him to follow up from Akinjo we would be in great shape at the point guard position. He's at a premier prep school with many highly sought after athletes. I watched his video and was very impressed. He's from NJ and expressed a great personality and confidence. His game is based on Kyrie Irvin, Damian Lillard, Allen Iverson and others...he likes running the show.
Coach, you've got a couple of years. Show him some love while pursing Shannon and "Q" for '19.

This kid can really play. I saw some of the game on TV against Oak Hill and he was playing incredible pressure defense on the Oak Hill PG and causing havoc for them. I realize that he was guarding Anthony, who was not playing because of injury, but I am sure whoever the ball handler for Oak Hill was, is also a very good, and highly recruited player. Kids like this raise the talent level and turn the program into consistent winners. Hope they can find a way to close the deal on this player

Any idea if Hoyas are still involved? No clue, but his recruitment has been quiet so you never know.

I just don’t understand our recruiting strategy. We take three centers last year and now we are contemplating taking three point guards. That’s a lot of kids at one position in the same class. Best available only works to an extent. We need a PF and a SG who can drill threes.

Best available only works to an extent. We need a PF and a SG who can drill threes. Malcolm Wilson should be considered a 2020 class member so really we added two C in the last class and one in this class. Seems to me the idea was always to lock him in the weight room and redshirt him. Might have been the idea with Ighoefe as well, but things changed. Now if we take 3 lead guards in this class it is going to be as a result from Akinjo leaving and then the attrition of Mosely/Allen. Simply put, this program needs players. When the season ends, the Hoyas will have Wahab (So) - Ighoefe (So) - Wilson (rFr) - Pickett (Sr) - Blair (Sr) - McClung (Jr) on the roster. That's it. IF they pull in a PG like Collins or Farrakhan, maybe they redshirt Harris and let him get more physically ready for BE play. I agree they shouldn't take a flier on some project PG, but kids like those two should always be given a spot.
