Fascinating insight into the dishonesty of the progressive media. One wonders why many feel that there is partisan #Fakenews? I believe he's referencing progressive groups and advocates. Where in his comment did he reference progressive media? What news org's are "progressive media" and can you point us to the articles on this subject that are misleading in your view? Since were talking partisan leaning of news organizations, what are your feelings on this meeting of the minds that happened just last weekend?

Iglesias is part of media, praising what he says is an out right progressive lie, referencing NBC’s Harwood tweet. You response is to avoid the merits of the admitted progressive lie and reference another issue? The next time you cite “lies” of those whom you oppose, please remember that your own side is guilty of lying also.

Reporters job is to report accurately on current events. How does him reporting on something accurately provide "insight into the dishonesty of the progressive media?" What exactly was he being dishonest about? Just so we're clear because I doubt you will answer any of those question: 1) No politician in the history of this country lies anywhere close to as much as Donald J Trump. If you support him you show the truth is not something you covet. 2) No mainstream news organization spreads more disinformation and is more in the tank for their side than FoxNews.

Fascinating insight into the dishonesty of the progressive media. One wonders why many feel that there is partisan #Fakenews? Maybe because people didn’t actually feel like their taxes got cut? Speaking from personal experience, I had to actually look at my paystub to see that my taxes were indeed cut, but at the same time, it was completely eaten up by higher health insurance premiums, so take home was exactly the same. Or take the infamous tweet by Leader Ryan, saying that someone could afford a CostCo membership. Not that she could actually buy anything at CostCo, just that she could walk in the building and ogle at the merch. Sometimes a spade is just a spade. So you did get a tax cut then? Good thing for you -- you benefited personally from the tax cuts. And how else does one find out if they are paying more or less in taxes than by looking at one's paystub? But funny that you still complain about Orange Man Bad. And if the Affordable Care Act was and is so great, why did your healthcare costs go up? You were hurt by Obama's signature policy yet helped by the policy of evil Trump. Very interesting.

God forbid there be any nuance here. Given the amount of sound and fury about how awesome the tax cuts were going to be for all Americans, and how the withholding tables were drafted early on so that people could see the impact of their tax cut in time to be wowed into supporting GOP House candidates in November, the actuality was more than underwhelming. Put another way, I shouldn't have had to look at my pay stub to see the awesomeness; it should have been apparent by my bank statement. Of course, I wasn't the primary audience for these tax cuts, was I? And for why healthcare costs are going up? You and I both know the answer is complicated. But isn't one reason the fact that Agent Orange has been deliberately muddying the waters trying to "fix" the insurance market for the last two years?

I really do not understand what you are talking about regarding the tax cuts. A, it is clear that you benefitted as you paid less in taxes. B, if taxes are withheld from pay, the most direct way to find out if one's taxes are less is to look at the withholding and to see if net pay was higher after the tax cuts went into effect. I do not understand why you continue to b**** about having to look at your pay stub. As for being the "primary" audience for tax cuts, one cannot answer this unless your disclose your income and other financial info. AS Iglesias himself admits, "..the clear facts say that a clear majority got a tax cut". One may conclude from your post that you are happy on one hand that you got the tax cut but do not like the policy overall -- or that you refuse to admit that Orange Man signed a bill that helped you. Of course, if you are unhappy that you paid less tax, the Government has a program that allows donations to the Treasury.

Yglesias gloats in his tweet that the progressive messaging worked and admits it was a lie because the clear majority got a tax reduction. The next time you refer to others lying, Remember that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones…

And *everyone* should have noticed if there was going to be a "lot more money" in their paycheck. Do you really think that if people got an extra $200-$300 in their take home every check that the progressive messaging would have taken hold? Please. Personally, I hate the policy, because all this sunshine and roses about how tax cuts pay for themselves, while spurring 4% economic growth is just bull. Utter, utter, bull. This isn't the '80s, and Reagan and Thatcher have decomposed already. Let their policies do the same.

Ironic that you cite “Trolling“ whenever a person disagrees with date standard liberal echo chamber on this board. Yes, I am a real person, I pay taxes, and I follow my own personal finances. I checked my paycheck in February of last year and found in fact that I was the beneficiary of a tax cut. I was very happy because I do not like my money going to the federal government. That is my opinion, you are entitled to yours, please stop with the “trolling“. It is unbecoming.

However, you still are facing an open question: since you believe that it is improper to cut taxes, are you going to donate your cut to the federal government?

By Yglesias factchecking what you're calling a lie, that makes him a liar, and proves progressive media is dishonest as a whole... 🤔
It's also equivalent to the President telling a cool 10,000 lies or false statements in office. 🤔

As long as I get to see my President's tax returns first.

Kudos to Mayor Pete for his takedown of VP Pence.
It is exhausting to hear right wing politicians espouse faith while discounting almost entirely the LBGT community, as if they are not God’s children as well.

How the Trumps celebrate national siblings day...
Ten days after she heard she was the focus of a judicial investigation into her participation in Trump family tax fraud schemes, Trump’s sister announced her retirement in order to shut down the investigation.

And, yet, wages remain stagnant and the deficit keeps climbing.
