Say hello to the incoming first-years:
WASHINGTON – Georgetown University Head Women's Soccer Coach Dave Nolan announced that seven student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday. The group will report to the Hilltop in August ahead of the 2019 season.
The talented class joins a squad which is currently competing for the NCAA National Championship and is one of the most successful teams in program history. Georgetown is ranked second in the country in the United Soccer Coaches poll and is one of the four top-seeded teams in the 2018 NCAA Tournament with an overall record of 18-0-3. The Blue & Gray won its second-straight BIG EAST Regular Season Championship titles this year, as well as three-peated the BIG EAST Championship title.
"My staff and I are very excited to welcome this group of student-athletes to the Hilltop," said Nolan. "We have worked very hard finding people who will fit into our culture and are also excited to help raise the bar within the program. We have addressed some issues with some very good attacking players, while also adding some quality in midfield, defense and in goal. All seven are expected to challenge from day one and we are excited to see what the future holds moving forward with this group and the program in general."
