Does Holy Cross still eat applesauce??? One of the chants vs the HC bball team, when we used to play them. But my favorite team growing up.

Gotta be the worst game in the history of punting.
Do we have a special teams Coach, or do those duties just fall to one of the other coaches?

Little consolation I know, but we did the same thing against BC this year too i.e. block 2 punts for TDs. Difference being, they were our only 2 scores in a 62-14 drubbing. HC's special teams were very good overall in general this season. Blocked a lot of punts and FG's.

This one is squarely on Hurst. He's the worst line drive punter since Keith Allan, and his trajectory was a problem during the season. There were at least two punts against Bucknell that could have been blocked and one of the punts Saturday grazed the helmet of a GU player because it was that low. And lest we forget, the line drives contributed to two of the five missed field goals versus Lehigh, which is why Oliver Hill was pressed into action on PAT's. Yes, there is a special teams coach. Whether he's back for 2019 is Sgarlata's call. guhoyas.com/coaches.aspx?rc=428&path=football

Or is that only for sports we actually care about?

I thought there was a board rule against trashing specific players? Or is that only for sports we actually care about? Well since I said it, I'll respond: I wasn't trashing him as a person, but his kicking style was an issue all season. A flat kick is great when you have an offensive line that allows you to get the most out of it, but as the line withered by injury, the danger of the trajectory of his kicks was apparent. He had two field goal kicks blocked in the Lehigh game and nearly had two punts blocked against Bucknell. It should have been corrected by the staff, and wasn't, and HC correctly saw it on film. If either of those two kicks gets off, Georgetown wins without question. As for Keith Allen, well, he kicked with a rugby-style run that never quite worked out. His average was the lowest of any GU punter in the PL era.
