You know like I do Mac was considered a poor shooter coming out by those that actually followed. Mac shot the equivalent of 11/41 this year. I’ve seen nothing that shows being a poor shooter eliminates Pat from recruiting him. I wish he would start consider shooting more so I hope you are right. He shot 11-41 from the field. 2’s and 3’s. Mac shot much better than that this year against much tougher comp. His AAU percentages were better as well. LA you should know since you follow recruiting it’s how you play when they watch you. When they watched Mac he played well and he killed when he played on campus. I’m just telling you what I know. You can choose to believe whatever you want. I’m cool either way. Appreciate the insight and I am not saying that isn’t what they told you. I’m just saying their actions don’t back that up. If in person is really all they are going on in this day and age with much more access to stats/video than that is worrisome. To me it seems like Pat values athleticism and toughness way more than anything and those are things that are definitely better seen in person. That is fine as that is important. As I said I wish he would start valuing shooting more like you alluded to since that is such a big part of today’s game and we desperately need it.

That's a good number for a hs kid. We're talking about PG's, not in general. They value toughness and athleticism also, but the team did finish as one of the better 3pt shooting teams in the conference fwiw.

Too bad Ace couldn't wait ... G-Town needs to have the Cole Anthony Lottery play out before giving up that last '19 schollie!

Cole shouldn’t impact ‘20 recruiting, but is impacting ‘19 recruiting. I believe we only have one spot to give.

I’m not sure how you can say this for sure, and what about grad transfers? We’ve been mentioned with a few of them and those wouldn’t affect 2020 anyway.

You could always take a fifth year who would not impact ‘20.

He's pretty good, but it's clear Pat doesn't like PG's that struggle with their shooting. He had some ugly shooting games in front of the staff so not surprising they seem to like other pg's better. Surprised Seton Hall didn't get more of a look ... The first PG Pat brought in wasn’t a good shooter, although that doesn’t stop him from trying. Luckily he didn’t end up having to be our PG. But Dickerson WAS a point guard.

I have no inside information but I would hope that if Gardner wanted to commit, that the staff would take him. That kid seems to be the type of player/mindset that Coach Ewing is looking for now.

There are late bloomers and decommits every year...still time for a 2019 guy. That said, I do think next years team would do better with an older/5th year guy.
