Wesley Wilson had a man’s frame. He was skilled enough to have had an NBA career too but it didn't happen.

Is it sad that as a 26 year old alum I was excited for Timothy to follow me back on Instagram?

I saw Timothy on campus this weekend when I was dropping off 2 of my sons. Welcomed him to Georgetown and wished him well with his studies and hoops. He thanked me. Seemed like a great kid in a man's frame. He had a bounce in his step too. Just exuded athleticism. 2 sons??, Holy crap, somebody start passing the hat around for this guy!

This kid is going to be a beast when all said and done. Better version of Daniel Ochefu imho.

Personally, I wish he weren't pushed into service this year. That said, he moves really well and is quick off of the floor. I don't think he's going to add much offensively but it's not as though I've seen much of him to pass any judgment.
Big guys always take longer to develop. I sort of wish that anyone over 6'9" would have a gap year. Unfortunately, this team doesn't have the luxury of depth any longer and, as has been discussed here ad infinitum, red shirting only has value to the individual in select cases. If Ighoefe wanted to sit for a year and play four, then this sucks. More likely, he wants to learn on the fly and he's going to get the chance to do that. If the latter is the case, I'm excited to see what he's able to do with the minutes he's asked to give. Maybe it isn't the worst idea for someone to give Timothy Hibbert's number.

Why would we want TWO players to redshirt same year? That's a waste. I want Ighoefe up to speed as quick as possible for next season when he will likely get major minutes.

Does anyone know if Coach intended to play him this year before the transfers? Seems unusual that it would take til the 11th/12th game to get in a game if he was intended to play all along. But then again maybe it was the first time we had enough of a lead that Coach felt comfortable playing him. Would like to see him get that experience though so he’s ready back up Wahab next year. Love the physicality.

Offense appears to be a work in progress but 3 rebounds and 1 block in 3 minutes of play is pretty impressive even if it was in garbage time.

Love the physicality. I’m guessing coach planned on not using him because we had a number of options in the front court. With all of the forward depth transferring that changed the dynamic and now Iggy could be needed to spell Yurt/Wahab due to foul trouble or injury.

He has Olajuwonesque cat like quickness along with tremendous length.
Really raw still but his measurables and effort alone had American scared of him.

Somewhat superficial and speculative comment here, but Tim-Iggy’s teammates and coaches seem to really enjoy his company and were vociferously applauding his effort and results against AU. It can only help one’s development if you are a great kid, well liked, and bring positive intangibles to the locker room.

He is the biggest surprise for me at this moment. I wonder how coach will incorporate him into the game plan without jeopardizing Wahab's play. I think it might be playing Omer more on the outside...or maybe more movement and great passing. Coach has inserted him and he's done well...he is not afraid of the big lights. Neither is Wahab! I think Wahab has to slow down a micro-second! This big man corps is very interesting!!

Patrick should of never ruined Ighoefe ability to redshirt, if he did not plan on using him. I think George plays hard, but he is too slow, time to give Ighoefe a shot in those minutes.
Love to hear your thoughts?
