Yurt at the 4 with Tim at the 5 would be very interesting. The few turnarounds Yurt does miss would be swallowed up by Timmy.

If Ighoefe can play a few minutes here and there, I’d like to see Q in the middle, Yurt7 at the 4 and Pickett at small forward. Let’s put some height out there! I like this idea. That will open up some high-low post exchanges.... Waiting to see Jamorko lock in more and become more patiently--aggressive taking what is there. One problem - most teams play with at least 3 if not 4 quick guards/wings. We have a hard enough time defending those guys as it is, no way that lineup stays with them.

The one way we could get Wahab and Yurtseven on the court together would be to play some zone. But I don't think we have played a possession of half court zone defense all season (even though Lavin said we did at halftime of one game, I think he was wrong). Ewing clearly is not a fan of zone defense. There would still be potential spacing issues on offense, but we might be able to get away with both bigs on D if we played zone.

I suspect this would only be an option if Pickett fouls out and neither a guard nor George can guard a big bruising four on the defensive ends. Otherwise we won't see such a combination this year.

I'd still like to see Malcolm, I think he'd be a better defensive match at PF. He's got the height advantage, he's quick on his feet and with those arms I'm sure he could closeout to the perimeter and shut down three point shooters. Downside, I still think he's a reliability on the offensive side.

I wasn’t thinking of playing an entire half with those three up front. Just for a few minutes every now and then. Give the team, and the opposition something different.

Yeah would need to play zone with the twin towers. Wahab/Omer guarding up high is recipe for foul trouble and blow byes. Ewing tried it briefly against AU and that's what ended up happening...Wahab was guarding a dude out on the 3 point line. It can be effective, but would have to mix in some different D principles that we haven't seen yet. And hey, it could be necessary this year with how short we are depth wise...so hopefully they're trying to work on those scenarios in practice

I am all in favor of throwing different wrinkles at opponents now and then, especially if we are struggling, so I can see it for a few minutes depending on the match ups.
