Georgetown Alums Killed in Tajikistan

From The Hoya came news of two Georgetown alums cycling around the world were killed in Tajikistan by Islamic State terrorists. One of the GU grads was Lauren Geoghegan, who worked in admissions for seven years, so many of you might have known her, especially Russky. Very tragic. May they rest in peace.

Yeah, hard to really find the words on this one. It has received a great deal of national coverage, including a well-written story in The New York Times and a moving reminiscence by Ryan Koronowski. But even all that seems somehow insufficient in relation to the magnitude of the loss of these two, given all they had to offer the world.
