It is fast becoming time the Republican Senators take that walk up the street If the testimony has swayed Elvado, it is indeed time for the GOP to wake up. If there is any chance of the Republican party surviving in any form going forward, the witching hour is nigh. And I write this as a lifelong Republican, albeit from the liberal wing of the party (for those of you old enough, think of Lowell Weicker), who re-registered as independent in New Jersey because, to paraphrase Ronald Reagan, the party left me.

Moscow Mitch and Leningrad Lindsey would have to get up off their knees before walking down the street. There are no Barry Goldwaters in this morally bankrupt corrupt party.

The idea that Republican Senators control the party, hand out marching orders, or that Trump would listen to them is pretty hilarious. Amazing to me that Republicans don't understand their own party.
If there's a "walk up the street" it would be into Rupert Murdoch's office. And it won't be by Senators.

It is fast becoming time the Republican Senators take that walk up the street You have no idea how much of a relief it is to see a post like this after watching hours of Republican Members of Congress spout conspiracy theories, yell and scream about Hunter Biden and Burisma, and complain about the whistleblower, without once acknowledging the evidence that has been presented by the witnesses during this process. Thank you Elvado for restoring at least some faith that Republicans in this country can take a step back and admit that what the President did here was terribly wrong.

Where'd he say the President was terribly wrong? I must have missed it. Maybe I'm giving him too much credit. I thought that his comment that Senate Republicans should "take a walk up the street" signified that he felt the current display by House Republicans and the President in response to witness testimony was unacceptable.

CC: Devin Nunes, Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz, Mark Meadows, and President Trump.
From they're soft on Russia to let's all be Russian stooges in the less than 3 years...Fiona Hill to Devin Nunes amd Republicans on the House intelligence committee: Stop using Russian propaganda to defend Trump.
What a travesty when nonpartisan public servants have to reprimand GOP lawmakers for perpetuating false narratives that directly benefit hostile foreign powers actively committing cyber attacks against us.

The cracks in the dam are starting to proliferate. If y'all are familiar with this guy - Georgetown class of '86, resident of my hometown of Mobile, and longtime syndicated conservative columnist - then you understand how remarkable this is:
The problem, of course, is that "DC GOP" is a misnomer. These folks were sent here from around the country, and they have been staying faithful to what their voting base believes and wants them to do. But even in a polarized environment, minds can change...
Increasing numbers of conservatives are waking up to the realization that Trump threatens to utterly discredit the party and movement that has enabled him.

Sounds like obstruction.
He's probably lying, but it's pretty funny the President's go to alibi is he does't know who the people are working for him at the highest levels. That doesn't seem like a quality you would want in the guy that's supposed to be in charge.
