I'm pretty sure this one will come down to the family's decision and young Ryan will have to put in some serious work for UNC to give him a look.
Not for nothing, can we get his last name spelled correctly in the thread heading? His dad is a Hall of Famer for crying out loud.

My brother bumped into Mutombo at an AAU event a couple of years ago when their sons were playing. I don't think they played against each other. But he said he met Deke and he said he was really personable and it was like talking to one of the fellas.

When his game catches up to his height, look out. Already a 6'9 heading into his sophomore yr. Dad is 7'2".. Ryan will probably top out at 7'0-6'11...

Ryan is really turning himself into a good looking prospect. Hope to have him visit the hilltop with pops a few times.

Mutombo was at the NCAA tournament game to watch his nephew Kabengele who has turned into a potential 1st rd pick.
During the broadcast the announcer said he asked Dikembe what schools Ryan was looking at. Dikembe said there is only 1 school Georgetown.

Ryan is a really impressively built kid. The interest in him as a player is not just because of his last name. That would be a great start to the 2021 class.

He and Mourning said this long ago that their kids were going to Georgetown. Plus with their adoptive brother as coach, this kid really has no choice lol.
