Looked like high ankle sprain — I’d be surprised if he doesn’t miss a couple weeks.

Agree. He couldn't put any weight on it at all as he was helped to the locker room.

Looked like high ankle sprain — I’d be surprised if he doesn’t miss a couple weeks. Disagree. He was already putting weight on it coming off of the floor. Looked like he rolled it pretty good but didn't look particularly severe to me. Fingers crossed.

Is there anything else that can go wrong this season? Despite everything this team does and the way they fight it just seems like one challenge after another. Hope the kid can play in a week, but won't expect it.

Don’t forget that one of the great aspects of the TAC is a state of the art medical / training facility tailor made for rehab of injuries like this.

Looked like high ankle sprain — I’d be surprised if he doesn’t miss a couple weeks. Just watched the replay, really looked more like a regular (badly) rolled ankle but obviously time will tell. A week off is almost a godsend.

Don’t forget that one of the great aspects of the TAC is a state of the art medical / training facility tailor made for rehab of injuries like this. I had a badly twisted ankle playing bball at GU. The trainer at the time helped me with it, and in two or three days, I was back playing ball. It was suggested that Mac has plantar fasciitis. I had that for one year, but it didn't stop me from running, just from doing some speed work. I hope they have gotten some orthotic to support his arch, and have him doing all sorts of stretches.

Plantar fasciitis gets better with rest, and jumping is probably the worst thing for it.

Walking around barefoot in loafers is no cure.

Walking around barefoot in loafers is no cure. Ha. Very true. I had PF as well. I had to pop anti inflammatories, get Inserts and not run or jump for 3 weeks. Of course he is a world class athlete and I was just a regular athlete in my 30’s. We really need at least one of our guys back. This is one crazy season.

Best exercise for PF by far is placing your heel about 4" from the wall, toes against the wall, and bringing your knew forward slowly. Stretches that arch out beautifully. Have suffered PF twice in my (many) years, and it is the best.

FWIW, he was in a walking boot (no crutches) on campus yesterday.

Hopefully just to heal / overly cautious.

Really thought he would go tonight. P

Sorry for the double post - does this give more credence to it being high ankle?
Or maybe he tweaked it warming up last game?
