any news on how yurtseven has been looking recently? has he, in fact, hit the weight room? is he wrecking teammates in practice? this lack of college bball has got me pondering how excited i should be for next season.

No news, but the guy already was a great player in a tough ACC in 2017-2018, so no reason to think he won't do the same this coming year. I'm looking forward to seeing what can do.

Not to quibble, but "great" might be a bit of an exaggeration. I think he was a solid player who occasionally flashed up in a couple games. I think he would need to take a step forward in his development and provide consistently strong play next season to be labeled "great." That said, I'm not a hater or bashing, and I like his PO big time. Bring it, Omer!!! Git'er duhn.

I think to average 13 and 7 as a soph in ACC, sit out a year to learn from Ewing and hit the weight room, and watch closely how big east teams play should mean that he comes out and has a pretty great year. Like an all-conference selection kind of year.

But, I think he could be a really good player for us given the passage of time and further development. Really, much of our 2019-2020 success will depend on it, so I am really hoping it works out.
