Good catch by SJU... that's the type of perimeter scorer we could've used next season... is there another one?

This is a pretty good roster tbh... Some questions in the front court but looks like a team that could be dangerous.

Depends on Ponds, but i am guessing he returns. Lovett situation really undermined them this year. Perhaps I am just hopeful because i want the rivalry when both teams are strong. Of course, it goes without saying that we will click as well.

I think Marquette picked up Joe Chartouny (grad transfer).

Other than Ponds, who is dipping his toe in the draft waters, the odds the rest are back are rather high. Mullin has his team and they cut out a lot of BS that had been going on in that program. With the big wins they had last year it is really rare for a player to walk away from that as that is what build bounds in a team.

I'm confident that Mullin will lose control of his team next year, like he has in the past, and despite some huge wins where they look as good as they should they will put a string of terrible losses together and finish among the BE bottom feeders.

Did I miss something? How is Flory immediately eligible with 3 years of eligibility remaining?

I think he'd be immediately eligible should he decide to transfer because he's a walk on and Seton Hall apparently did not recruit him: In the Division I sports of baseball, basketball, and football (as well as men’s ice hockey), the One-Time Transfer Exception isn’t available to athletes who were on an athletic scholarship or were recruited to their previous four-year college. Transfers in those sports can be immediately eligible to practice with the team, but can’t play for one year. However, there is another exception (an exception to the exception??) that allows an athlete in one of those sports to be immediately eligible upon transfer to another Division I program. A walk-on (non-scholarship athlete) may use the One-Time Transfer Exception as long as the school he/she is leaving did not recruit him/her to their college. informedathlete.com/ncaa-walk-on-transfer-rules-for-division-i-sports/

It will all depend on how he performs at the combine and the team workouts, but Spellman is the type of big man NBA teams seem to want these days. Athletic, long and good range on his shot. If he has a few good workouts I could easily see him getting a first round promise from some NBA team and then hiring an agent and being on a NBA team next year. Would be a huge loss for Nova.

Transferring from Seton Hall. Might be a make or break summer for Coach Willard. Has to capitalize on the last 3 years of success. A lot wholes to fill and their rising sophomores didn't play a lot last season. Myles Powell and Taurean Thompson will have to carry a large load of responsibility. Need to solidify the PG position. That's where Eron Gordon's lost will be felt as he was their most experienced Ball handler at the position. Cale and Mamukelasvil have to have major Summer's to get this team even to the middle of the conference. Don't see a tournament bid next season as they are in a rebuild. I like their freshman Rhoden long term potential. There's a chance they could be the worst team in conference next season...

I've seen all 3 Nova players testing the draft in some first round mocks so I don't think I would be hugely surprised if they all left. The caveat to that is this draft is appears to be loaded with bigs so Spellman has the potential to be a higher pick for a team with a need at his position next year.
