“One legged step back....you practice that?”. I get the feeling that if somebody said that to Mac, he WOULD practice it a few thousand times! Over the weekend.

It seems as if Mac and some of the other bball players have been working out with the track team on the Ellington track.

Conditioning is good. Does this indicate that we are going to press more? 😉

Just can not wait for the season to start - I don't think we will be disappointed! This is a continuation of something BIG for the Hoyas, all the players, the GU Fans, and DMV.

I have Mac, James and Omer at 14+ ppg and Josh at 10 ppg. We break our FTA record, while showing an improved defense and shooting the most 3s under Pat. All in!

I can see games where Alexander, Blair or Pickett score 12+ points. Maybe, even Wahab or Gardner. We have a lot of weapons this season. I prefer to see the points spread around, but I just want to win. Important for the team to make noise this season to get us to the next rung on the ladder.

Mac's interview at media day was good. He downplayed the compliment on his good season last year saying thank you but he didn't view it that way because it wasn't up to his standard. Also said he changed A LOT in the off-season. Said he changed how he eats, how he shoots and how he works. He feels like he has matured in lots of areas compared to last year. I'm ready for this team to get started!

35% for Mac would be a nice improvement

It sure would. Anything between 32 and 36% would be very good improvement.

67% FG and 50% 3FG% were a heck of a way to start the season vs. last year. Looking forward to watching how his year plays out..

The form on Mac's 3s is much improved. I would agree. He seems much less rushed when shooting threes last night. Last year, even when he was wide open, he seemed to rush his jump shot. Last night he got some open looks, set his feet, and looked really good releasing the ball. With Akinjo and Omer being the focus on a lot of other teams defense, Mac should get some open looks and hopefully his form last night holds for the entire season
