I'm keeping my eye on our Hoyas. They are playing better as a team, and perhaps with the win against Seton Hall they can operate with more collective confidence and team chemistry. Perhaps anything is not possible, but I think that with every game they, the team and coaching staff, are exceeding the expectations of many. Onward and upward. Go Hoyas. Yes, so true

It'll be a new day. It's February. This team has clearly gotten better under Coach Ewing and his staff. If the Hoyas play hard, smart and have some fun they can come out with the W! It all depend on how and if our point guard/s control the tempo of this game and play defense. Communicate on defense and keep hands up! Take care of the ball. Make good decisions on the ball. Pound the ball into the post. Recognize when we are in the bonus and double bonus but time. The last shouldn't have been as close as it was if the Hoyas would've recognized this. The game could've simply been won on the free throw line. Towards the end of close games, Hoyas coaches still have to work on making better decisions under 5 minutes, timeouts included. Other than this. The Hoyas should be good to go! Beat Butler! Go Hoyas!

There is definitely improvement in the play of the Hoyas and reason for hope against Butler. But a road game at Butler is going to be very challenging and the Bulldogs will not take this improved Hoya team lightly. Butler always seems to play beyond its talent. Clearly the Hoyas cannot count on Butler shooting 3/21 from deep again or sending the Hoyas to the line 35 times. Also if the Hoyas come even close to the 21 TOs from the first game it will be a disaster. Hoping that the PGs show another solid game, Blair doesn't force shots and shoot his way back to the bench and Kaleb can focus on defense and contribute a few buckets on the other end. If it is close at the end (and for whatever reason it often is against Butler), they cannot have Mosley trying to break a press without another ball-handler.

The last Butler game I was sitting close by and was sad Mulmore kept looking Jessie off as he sealed his man and was open the whole game. Jessie even had mismatches as well.

Road games are always challenging especially in the Big East. What I think the Hoyas are thinking and I know they have a lot of confidence right now is: We are going to Butler to win this game. We have to stay focus. We have to work hard in practice. Period. Coaches, the same. This has to be their mindset, but I hear you Calhoya

I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad that you didn't make a Jamorko Pickett reference.

Iām hopeful we can continue our good play. But i hope if we just have a bad game against a good team on the road people will understand that these things happen and not flip out on the coach and players. Honestly, that could happen, but who cares? I am seeing what I wanted to this year, despite the excruciating losses. What matters is that the younger guys keep improving and we add a couple more crucial pieces. Next year is the year to arrive back in the conversation and 2019 is the time to make national noise with the right big guy recruits. So far to plan. Keep it up, Pat!

Happy to be excited in February again. This one is winnable, just game-plan for Martin, Baldwin, and be ready for a 3rd guy to get hot. This is a game that will be a hustle battle, we need to win those moments and get the ball. Hope we can come out of Indiana with a win!

ESPN says the line on the game is Butler -11.5. Seems pretty high to me but I'm biased.

Next year is the year to arrive back in the conversation and 2019 is the time to make national noise with the right big guy recruits. So far to plan. Keep it up, Pat! This is where I am at right now. Not really into moral victories, but you have to be realistic with the talent this team has. The Hoyas are very short handed in all around talent at the guard position, therefore you do not know what you are going to get at crucial times of the game especially at the end. What we have seen these past five games is a collective maturation at the guard position that finally resulted in a victory over the Hall. If the maturation curve continues then I would hope to see fewer toās this game than the last and more drives to the basket by Mulmore,Dickerson and/or Moseley and more offensive rebounds. If the Hoyas do these things then future victories will take care of themselves. How many?,and over who? I donāt know, but the bottom line of improvement will have been accomplished and my sense of excitement about these young Hoyas will be increased. Now letās lockup a legitimate pg.

Game Day ladies and gentlemen! We need a collective effort from the board to will us to victory. Dust off your lucky Hoya gear, your charms, amulets and talismans. Break out those little superstitions and rituals. We need every ounce of karma, mojo, destiny and fate we can conjure up.
Game Day. Hoya Saxa.

Why isn't this on FS1/2?
My sling tv does't get CBSSN.
