As someone who has a signed framed ‘82 Ewing Blue jersey on my Office wall, I promise you that last night’s abominations are several shades lighter.
They also have different lettering and numbering and don’t even get me started on the side panels.

I blame all of last night's errant passes on those horrible uniforms that were so bad they must have made our guys close their eyes when they looked at the target of their passes.

Before the JT Jr. era we wore white at home, as was standard for all teams, and navy on the road. He introduced the lighter color. The story goes that after many alums saw that color in high profile games viz. '82 National Championship there were complaints that they did not represent our true colors. In response, Jr. effectively said "You want blue and gray? I'll give you blue and gray". And that is how the gray home uni's were born.

I don't usually care about uni's but I was not a fan. Hope they get discarded.

Similar in the sense that they are both "blue," but it stops there - the unis last night were a dayglo teal like what Charlotte Hornets wear - maybe Pat got a deal on some fabric? - whereas the old school 82ish unis were a light blue without any green tinge.

Good and tough win last night in those uni's. Love it. no doubt a win is a win and I will sign off on anything not orange if the guys gets Ws in them. But a) calling last night a "good and tough win" is not right - it was ugly - and b) just cause we win in a uniform doesn't make it a pretty uniform.

Okay, so you're saying it wasn't good the Hoyas won this game? The young men didn't play in a tough game and weren't tough enough to win the game? Did I ever say just because we wore those uniforms last night made them pretty or are you assuming I'm thinking this? I'm simply saying the Hoyas played a good and a tough game, as a matter a fact I said the game would be a hard fought tough game, and it was and they prevailed. Pls don't twist it up.

Just wondering how and why a fan of a team wouldn't call their team winning a "good and tough win." It was scrappy and ugly to be expected but it was good the Hoyas won a tough game on the road. Sound better?

I am not sure why it's controversial to say (a) it's great that we won last night, but (b) the uniforms were ugly. I don't think an opinion that a uniform is ugly prevents somebody from also being pleased and happy that we won the game.

B. the uniforms weren't ugly, they were cool. Your last sentence?

Just wondering how and why a fan of a team wouldn't call their team winning a "good and tough win." It was scrappy and ugly to be expected but it was good the Hoyas won a tough game on the road. Sound better? First of all, you very much did tie the "good and tough win" together with "in those unis. Love it." I get that you don't like being held accountable for the exact message conveyed by your words and love to play the "relitigate he said/she said" game, but facts are facts and yes, you tied to "good and tough win" to the unis. Second, there is a difference between saying "it was good that the Hoyas won" and "it was a good win." This is not even a nuanced point - any time we win is better than the alternative, but a "good win" means that you played your game well. This we did not do last night. The win was more "tough" than "good," I will grant you that, but the truth is we were neither tough nor good last night. We were pushed around by SJU's defense, which took the ball away at will, blocked an obscene number of shots and generally kept us out of our flow. That is not us being tough. We did not move the ball well, our guards are still not showing an ability to control the ball, get their own outside shots, drive the lane or distribute well to our bigs, who in turn are not showing that they can handle the increased defensive pressure that comes when your guards can't do the above things. We missed 40 shots last night, including a fair number of bunnies. I could go on - they were 2+ brutal hours in the Garden last night - but the quality of a win is measured not by it being a win but by whether you demonstrate mastery of the skills you will need to win more games. This we did not do last night. Don't spend your days trying to lead us all down some rabbit hole by switching up the words you get called out on. Most of us get enough of that from our wives and bosses, both of whom offer rewards that make the semantics torture worthwhile - what do you bring to the table?

Back and forth back and forth.... smh...shut up! Perfect sentence since you can't understand English. The Hoyas played a "good" and "tough" game last night. They were wearing teal/aqua uniforms that I liked. Got it? Just tell what part you don't understand? LOL. You're making yourself look like a fool man more and more. Mannnnnnnn...who are these people? lol ... soft and don't know what tough is. ... Good to win a tough game. Got that too?
