Bee-LAY w be just fine in life and could most likely crush it in a SALES career. He is playing ball on TV for an NBA legend at a great school.
But hang around any gym with some good pickup games and you will not be hearing “leave him alone he tries hard”. Telling someone they suck at basketball happens far more often than some of you think.

Bile has some tools, nice three point stroke and decent rebounder. He just needs to not force things on offense.

I understand those sentiments- but they do not justify being upset with Bile. All he is doing is playing when his number is called. He appears to be hustling. There is no reason to dislike the guy. I agree, no need to hate the player. He’s very flawed and being put into an impossible situation. Direct the ire towards the coaches that are doing this to him.

Bile clearly does not "suck at basketball." He may be a flawed player at the high-major level; but there are many good players who never sniff this level or see the court. How does Bile stack up to say, Godwin Owinje? Sam Jefferson? Courtland Freeman? Those are all guys who were not all-world by any stretch of the imagination. Yet, they were all Hoyas I rooted for and enjoyed watching during their careers. The singular angry focus on Bile is bizarre and not appropriate.

CHUDIER is a baby that needs to be nurtured and smothered in love. His taking minutes from actual future building blocks, his horrendous turnover rate, his out of position defense and his overall bad play is why I say he stinks.
The love and nurture aspect of this is bizarre. Guy stinks, takes minutes from Sibley & Clark and is GONE after this year.

I think coach envisioned Bile playing the Leblanc role. Energy, a few post ups, a few Js but mostly put backs and Orebs. But Bile envisions himself as a Otto/LJ type. If he ever accepts his limitations we will like him more. The problem is that he has had some success on the lower level playing his style so it is a harder sell.....

I'll note that Oscar is already 22. All those who say Aminu is too old to come back to school: I guess you think Oscar's foolish?

Or it could mean he enjoys college because the next step is the real world. NC - Bacot is surprise to me - way ready for the NBA.

The kid is NBA caliber but he will make more next year playing for Kentucky then he would as a second round pick. Same story probably with Bacot. They are what they are and are very good college players. They might carve out a role in the modern NBA but they also probably would be on a G league roster next year at some point. Why not soak in the glory for another year and make cash to boot. If they were guards or wings, they are probably gone but this could be the path of the traditional non-shooting big.

Yes - definitely. But he did not enter the draft and would have been a lottery pick (millions on the table) in my opinion so maybe he likes college.

Oh - Bocat is a double double machine and would have been a lottery pick. No way a second rounder.

I'll note that Oscar is already 22. All those who say Aminu is too old to come back to school: I guess you think Oscar's foolish? He's reportedly going to make $2M next year at Kentucky. How does that compare to Aminu, our 0-20 season, and our completely nonexistent NIL program? www.si.com/college/2022/04/20/oscar-tshiebwe-kentucky-return-name-image-likeness-dealsHere's the NBA rookie scale : basketball.realgm.com/nba/info/rookie_scale/2023If the $2M figure is accurate, he'd need to be Pick 24 or better to match those earnings. I'm very skeptical about the NIL numbers thrown around and whether they are inflated, but the Tshiebwe situation is the one situation where I think the money is probably there - he's an NBA-caliber player, recognizable NPoY at the biggest college basketball market in the country - that has big donors and a huge fan market. He makes sense to retain by one of these collectives - and has the realistic bargaining power to ask them to match a first year NBA salary, and probably can make quite a bit as a spokesperson because he's the best returning player in the nation at Kentucky.
