If you're gonna take a chance on a player that needs developing, this is the kind of player you do it on.

Really? He's big and bouncy and has good timing but I watched that whole video and saw :
- no shot outside of 2 feet - no dribbling whatsoever
If we're trying to implement an NBA offense, is this really the guy we want? He does look like a defensive stopper, but doesn't look like he has many offensive skills.

Does he rebound? Does he block/alter shots? Does he finish if provided the ball deep in the post?
NBA style offense doesn’t mean that we can’t have old school mix it up big men who are allergic to the three point arc. Clearly Ewing wants govan to play more like that.
I don’t know enough about this guy to say whether he is a project like Sodom or just a big needing addtional development. He certainly has a much higher rating than Sodom, so assuming he is much further along. Whoever we recruit as bigs though, I’d prefer intimidators to finesse.

You definitely recruit this type of player just to have your name in the hat and by his junior year if he's shown to be the type of player and student that GU needs, you offer him. It's a business of projections, buy low and sell high. We aren't Kentucky or Duke, where you can just wait for a kid to blow up and say 'come to Georgetown'.

Wow!...the second "Big O" ( Othella the first)...I love Oscar's athleticism and motor...plays for one of those Va AAU teams, I believe (Mac's team?)...he's going to be a great college player who can really be developed (and we have the developer(s))...the potential recruits, especially the front line, that we have a legitimate shot at in'19 are really exciting (Cockburn, Wilson, Igiehon, Oscar, Bacot, possibly even Stewart if rejuvenated)...and others...

This Kid is not a project. If you had seen PE at 15 he was a project.

Young man reminds me of a young Patrick Ewing without the patented jump shot yet. Sign him Patrick if you can. Can you imagine Akinjo running the floor with him giving him the alley oops for some resounding dumks.

Oscar Tshiebwe, C, ITPS Wildcats
There aren't many more physically imposing players in the 2019 class than Tshiebwe. Tshiebwe is around 6-foot-9 and 240 pounds, and simply overpowers most high school players. His physicality is nearly unmatched, and he is gifted natural shot blocker. Many compare him to current West Virginia big man Sagaba Konate, and there are plenty of similarities. While Tshiebwe might not be a generational shot blocker like Konate is, he is pretty darn good in that area. Also he rebounds like a monster, and finishes everything around the rim with dunks. Tshiebwe might not have the highest ceiling in this class, but he looks pretty much guaranteed to be a productive college player.
Recruiting: West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Indiana, Virginia, Penn State

I said a year ago in either the McClung or McCormack thread that after seeing Team Loaded in person that Oscar the was easily the best BIG on last years loaded team which also included Bacot and got pretty much laughed at on here. I'm still sticking to that claim. Long term Oscar Tshiebwe will easily be the best player out of him, McCormack and Bacot. Stewart and Tshiebwe (followed by Igiehon and Cockburn) are my 2 favorite Bigs in this class because of their ridiculous motors...
