I call it like it is...get familiar with that...25 year fan. He has all the ability in the world and goes missing for 5 games at a time. He is no kid. He is a D1 soph with tons of BE experience. Being a let down can be a fact of life. Hopefully he can create some self discipline to move forward in his next career. His next career? He's a student athlete...what a dbag comment...

Other than Akinjo's 3 down 8? Pickett's 3 biggest shot of game.

So happy for and proud of Pickett today. The man bounced back from a second DNP/CD to come up with big time blocks and a HUGE 3. He took the benching like a man and didn't let it phase his confidence. He can't have liked it but he's shown a ton of character. I'm really pulling for Jamorko.

For instance, you should realize that it takes personal discipline to not let your confidence get crushed by 2 separate DNP/CD situations (that weren't sugar-coated on TV broadcasts) to come back and make big plays and hit a HUGE 3 to help the team win a big game on the road. He's far from a finished product and he's demonstrating the character and willingness necessary to improve. If you'd paid any attention, you'd have seen the strides he's made in a short time on his defensive game. It's not sexy but it sure does help win games.

Guys, lay off him. He's a *realist.* He doesn't *drink the kool-aid.* He *calls them as he sees them.* Pickett has had his struggles, but I admire that he has not taken the Copeland route. Copeland gave up on the court, completely abandoning any semblance of effort. I know there's been some moments with Pickett on that point, but in most games, he works his butt off on defense even when the shot isn't dropping. That's character. Hell yes. Nailed it and stuck the landing.

Being critical is not a problem, but one must realize some posters post to get a reaction. Some posters are not "real" fans of a given team, they become team posters to stir the pot, to see how far a reactive narrative can be taken for their agenda. Sweet. I'll drag that reactive narrative over the river and through the woods. Isn't that what the offseason is for?

There is a lot of respect for Jamorko throughout the fan base, though the doubters are decidedly louder. I hope Jamorko knows how much we are pulling him.

I believe that his game is going to catch up with the things he's tried to do with inconsistent results. I'm more confident that it will by how he's handled the roller coaster this year. If and when it does come together, the people that crap on him now are going to get really quiet, really quickly.

Jamorko is a quality player and is in process of development. Lets give him room to grow. He's being pressed, and he working to deliver. Coach wants confidence. Full effort, great presence of mind and execution...he demands that everyone takes care of business! He, in my mind, is trying hard deliver. He is reinventing himself... His package is more comprehensive now. Go Jamorko!

Couldn't be happier for Jamorko, huge contributions yesterday. Hopefully his confidence keeps growing and he helps carry us in NYC.

His ball handling is getting better and better. Sometimes I initially don't even recognize him and think it's Jagan or one of the guards because his ball handling has improved so much. At the beginning of the season he was just a catch and shoot guy.

So did some on/off analysis and what I found with Jamorko was amazing. He is a +.27 PPP when he is on and Mackinjo is off. He is -.01 when he is on with just James and a -.10 when he is on with Mac in 2 player combos. He is a + with every other rotation player on the team in 2 man combos.

So you're saying that Jamorko scores more when Mac and James are on the bench? Because he should when he's getting more shots and is a bigger focal point of the offense. Plus, what's his efficiency like in each matchup? Using just points would be flawed entirely.

I hope Pickett does well tonight. He had a solid year, everyone is just down on him because of their expectations (not everyone makes an Otto like jump). He needs to attack the hoop, get rebounds, and be ready to receive the ball for set 3s. Harvard has a long 3-guard that Pickett will be assigned to cover and shutting him down is just as important as stopping their top guard.
For next year, He's going to have to work his butt off this offseason but I trust that he will. Junior year is where you learn when to pick your spots and up your efficiency. Him and Galen will be fun to watch at the wing and will be a great competition. I expect both to provide solid minutes to a very deep team next year and don't think Jamorko will give up his minutes for the second straight year easily.

I hope he does well too. I'm a big fan of his game once he puts it together. We are a tough team to beat if his shots are falling and he plays good defense like he usually does. I think he can make the leap next year, especially with competition from Galen. I hope he embraces the challenge. I'll be cheering him on tonight and for the rest of his career at the Hilltop.
