I was never really that high on him. He was raw and I always felt he was better playing down a level. I love recruits with skill, don't put as much emphasis on height. Kid had a lot of height but no playable skills at the moment. He was a long term project.
Hope he gets it together at his next stop.

Of course it doesn't matter any more for the Hoyas, but I saw some glimpses in his limited minutes. He hit a nice little half hook that surprised me, it looked smoother than I expected. You could tell he was still working on his footwork, he had a couple of moments when he adjusted correctly on defense and altered shots. I think he would have helped us down the road, but there were obviously off court issues.
Hope he learns from all of this, and can develop somewhere.

No more center projects, please. I would much rather have a skilled undersized center any day of the week. 7'3" is tantalizing, but the kid was not near ready for prime time.

There aren't too many centers ready for prime time but this kid had something special that we did not see. Let's be fair here he only played very few minutes. I saw what this kid can do in AAU and during the summer. He wasn't that much of a so called project to be honest with you imo.

Even if Sodom had remained, we are in big trouble if Jessie has an injury. Foul trouble is the more probable issue, and in fact it's inevitable at some point. But injury could be far worse. While Chris could have provided only very limited help, it would have been better than nothing IMHO. And: do we have anyone lined up for next year if we lose Jessie?

I've always heard it preached that tall guys, big fellas take time. Sodom definitely has potential as a player but it is going to take time, wherever he is. From all of the flack, lack of confidence, back seat driving, Monday morning quarterbacks on this board Coach is making long range decisions and establishing the culture for his program and codes of honor. As with most successful coaches, their mantra is my way or the highway. Haven't seen any videos but the swift penalty sounds like one addressing a character and attitude issue. I wish Sodom much success and adjustments to get his career on track.

What happened to the kid Mutumbo was mentoring? Is he still coming to Georgetown as a walk on?

Watara Mountari is c/o '18. I have not heard anything to indicate the plan has changed

A plodder, but as Trump would say HUGE. Get me an undersized center that has scoring ability and gets after it. Heck, Perry MacDonald used to own the glass.

What a shame. I was really rooting for him and think he could've turned into a fan favorite.

The program cannot afford projects. We need better talent across the board asap. This frees up another spot for a contributor next season.

He wasn't a project he was a young man who had some good things to show but didn't get enough time show. Shame how people here always trash our players as soon as their gone. DELETED
