I'd rather use Antwan Walker before using any walk on.

Glide,
Do you have any eligibility left? You can be the answer to the point guard position that you so frequently talk about and you would be a walk on.
Problem solved.
Geesh, why didn't Patrick see this earlier in the season.

Geesh, why didn't Patrick see this earlier in the season. Hilarious. Not just talking about Coach Ewing using walk-ons but Georgetown over the years. It's just something I've been thinking about over the years. When I saw how Cooley used Planek (walk-on) kinda had me dwelling on this walk-on thing that's all. I just want to see fans opinions on this. I mean I think it's something to consider especially when these kids can play the game. I'll always respect what Coach Ewing does, but I'm just thinking out loud. LOL. If I could run the point guard position Jessie and Marcus would have many points and would be going to the free throw line for most of our games. Sodom I would give him the ball and literally tell him to go to work don't keep pass the ball back out to me. This would indeed give him more confidence and make him better. Also, when I went into the military I was told we're a unit and ALL of us were going to fight, not just the best fighters. The best fighters made the not so good fighters better. I try to understand this life. Much respect.

Aren't we doing exactly this with Malinowski as our spot up shooter next year?

Aren't we doing exactly this with Malinowski as our spot up shooter next year? I thought that young man Malinowski would be playing this season as well. He can flat out play. He's not a walk-on though but I hear you.

The walk on who logged the most minutes for us in recent memory is John Caprio. Nothing against Caprio, but I think he illustrated why you don't play walk ons - they simply aren't even close to the level of the scholarship players (otherwise, they'd likely be scholarship players).
JT3 was forced to rely a bit on Caprio in 2013-2014 because of injuries and personnel shortages. It worked out in some instances (like the OT win against Butler that season), but in others he cost us the game (like the Marquette OT loss, where his lane violation with 29 seconds left in regulation, which gave Marquette two free throws). Because Trawick was injured, Caprio was forced into that role.

Question: With Dickerson in the lineup, it's presently a nine-man rotation; no idea what his status for Saturday will be after leaving the 'Nova game with back spasms. If Hines and Muresan are going to get more minutes in non-blowout circumstances, as you opine, whose time should be reduced? Only so many minutes in a game (200) to spread around.

Any team that relies on walk-ons isn't going anywhere.

Any team that relies on walk-ons isn't going anywhere. No one said rely just play them period. Butler relied on a walk on who was very successful. Sometimes as a coach u have to think outvof the box.

Pickett seems to have lost his shot. The one he did make was a brick that banked in. I feel for the kid. Not easy to come in as a frosh and light it up. His passing needs to be more purposeful and crisp. A number of our players are guilty of throwing lazy telegraphed passes. So frustrating! 😡

How important is it to have one or even two PGs? Do we need some floor generals?
