Is this illness, injury, disciplinary (Coach's decision)?...is Walker available/healthy yet?

Any word on Sodom's availability for Wednesday? I don't think we should expect to see him suit up for this one, but Ewing has not had to discipline anyone yet as far as I know, so I'm not sure what to expect. Either way, we should be fine without him. He won’t play. Hmmm.

For obvious reasons, UNT no longer sells these coffee mugs.

Did not realize that North Texas has a better RPI than the Hoyas. This will be an early test for Coach Ewing to get his team focused on the next opponent coming off a bad loss. I expect a close game, interested to see if we can make winning plays.

As one of the founders of the pep band, I'm offended. In my day, The Hoya actually dedicated an editorial criticizing the pep band. But can't disagree. Eastern's band is great. In addition, North Texas has an excellent music program, especially in jazz.

In the "for what it is worth" department, the president of UNT is the former president of UNLV. Also, my wife was a friend of the wife of a former president of UNT. Seems to be a Las Vegas to Denton connection.

This is the best news I have read today. Love listening to the high school bands play during the break. Looking forward to catching the Hoyas tomorrow before I get out of town for a few days. I think this is a pretty big game. Similar setup to the Arkansas St game last year with a good team with no name coming to down after a tough loss. First, I hope we take the game, whatever it takes. Second, I wish we could look good doing it. Govan and Derrickson need to keep dominating, but I hope we start to see some guards step up. I would like to see us make a few more threes and also show some ability to handle the ball. It's a nice challenge before a true tune up game against Alabama A&M.

Didn’t the Arkansas State loss immediately follow the collapse against Maryland last year? Better shake off yesterday and focus. Yes, two days later and even worse, that game was at McDonough and led to, IIRC, the first "Fire Thompson" chants. The beginning of "The End".

Hoya fans will recognize the North Texas Mean Green head coach Grant McCasland, who was the head coach of Arkansas State last season. Great coach.

Picked to win this by 10 1/2 points. Limit t/o's, get the bench more involved, rebound the ball, GO Hoyas!

I hope we can get up quickly and get Govan a bunch of rest. Not only because he'll need his energy and we don't want him declining at the end of the year but we NEED to learn how to play without him on the court. Honestly the weight of getting Sodom minutes may help Pat's gameplanning because he can let the horses loose when Jessie is on the bench. I wouldn't mind seeing a 2guard/3 wing line-up (with Walker as the "C").
